A collection of options called the BMW Cold Weather Package is designed for owners who occasionally use their cars in regions with cold and slushy weather. It typically incorporates heated front seats and retractable headlamp washers. A neck warmer is part of the cold weather package on some convertibles, and some models also come with a heated steering wheel and back seats. A ski bag is often included in the package with some versions to protect the interior when transporting longer goods. Ski packs, wheel and tire packages, tire chains, winter care kits, and winter driver training are additional optional extras offered by BMW.

Hello everyone I was just wondering if it was at all feasible to add the cold weather package if the car was initially purchased without it because I’m hoping to buy a used 335 soon. You can, I suppose, albeit the cost could be a little high. How much am I actually seeing?
Also, if I was able to locate the heated front seats and the folding backseats online from someone who is parting out, could I install it myself? It would be helpful to have heated seats and additional trunk capacity.
Purchase a car made in the US? If I recall correctly, the cold weather package is included with every 335i sold in Canada. The expense of retrofitting everything back into the car will be higher (believe me, I looked into doing retrofitting stuff into my car).
Yes, that is what I was thinking about. Do you have a certain dollar amount I should be considering?
I appreciate your posting, but it doesn’t appear to be that easy. Do you know how much it would cost to have it fixed at the dealership?
If they are willing to perform this type of work on a US automobile, I would estimate that something this ambitious would cost at least $2-3000 simply in labor.
Remember that when you retrofit, items are disassembled, seats are removed, and once everything is said and done, you can hear a lot of rattles.
The headlight washers, for example, would be quite expensive to add after the fact. To do that, the front bumper and all the headlight washer equipment would likely need to be changed.
Other improvements would be simple, like the heated seats and ski bag. For less than $600, I heated the seats in the back of my 335i. The ski bag is modular and can be set up by you in under a minute (the kids adore that when we go skiing). I believe it costs around $500, although you could definitely find one for less in the US (try Tischer).
The heated front seats, headlamp cleaning system, and ski bag in the back seat are all included in the CWP, claims BMWUSA. steering wheel not heated. While the headlight washer runs automatically every few times the windshield cleaning system is utilized, I suppose there are controls to turn on the two heated front seats.
I don’t have the ski bag or the headlamp washers, but I do have heated seats. I suppose the previous owner incorporated it as a feature.
I ordered my car in that manner since I don’t care about the ski bag on the M3 and will never use the headlamp washers or bumper guards. I also made a few cents in savings. I’ll use my SUV if I need to ski.
Yes, I made the same decision because I simply wanted the heated seats and didn’t want the warts.
If your hands are becoming a little cool at the OP, there is a two-step procedure to cure that: hit the small M-shaped button and then pump the pedal to the right. You’ll forget about the frigid numbers completely.
The E90 CWP comes with split rear seats, headlamp washers, and heated seats. Split back seats are supposedly standard on E92/3 models.
There is no heated steering wheel option for the M3. I am aware that my friend’s 2011 E90 335i has it. So perhaps just non /M is available.
package for chilly weather?
Does having heated seats and heated windscreen washer nozzles on my vin information from the BMW Part Store signify I have the cold weather package, or are these just a couple of the options that come with the package? I need to know if my door locks and mirrors are heated before I move to the north. I also don’t care about the lsd issue because I have asc+t.
Without the cold weather package, I don’t believe one could choose the heated seats or, more specifically, the heated washer nozzles, so I believe you’re safe.
You have a winter package if your washer jets are heated. Along with heated seats and washer jets, it also had heated mirrors and a door lock for the driver.
The year 1995 was unusual for option combos. He most likely doesn’t have an LSD if he has asc. Considering he isn’t the first owner… I seriously doubt a ski bag was included with the automobile. Although I wouldn’t include mine with the automobile, I’m quite sure they did come with one.
Like coupes and verts, sedans with cold weather kits ought to have fold-down back seats as well.
The driver’s door lock is the only heated lock. Unless the car did not have ASC, the LSD was not a part of the winter package. There was no LSD and the winter package in my 1995 coupe.
I still possess mine. However, I don’t got the winter bundle. I’m curious how PO even obtained a ski bag.
I’m very certain that posts 4 and 7 are about the ski backpack that BMW includes with the vehicle in the US if you select the winter option. one that keeps your skis in storage
Well, the mirrors are wired according to my inspection. jacked up the back, and with asc+t = no lsd, as I predicted. Since I didn’t check, I’ll assume the driver’s door is heated. I do have foldable rear seats, but I don’t have a ski backpack (damn the bad luck, I bet a lot of beer cans could have fit in there). Can’t I purchase a ski rack? where, if so?

Does your BMW need to warm up?
If you’re in a rush and only need an answer to the aforementioned inquiry, the answer is no. If your vehicle isn’t old enough to have a carburetor, which is doubtful unless it’s at least 30 years old, or if it’s electric or a plug-in hybrid, you shouldn’t need to warm it up in the cold.
You mean electric? Oh, yes. For more information on why you should warm up an electric vehicle and might want to warm up a gas or diesel automobile, or if you need convincing that this is true for a conventional car, continue reading.

How long should my BMW be warmed up?
This is a query I posed to a BMW technician a few weeks back. He claimed that contemporary BMWs reach operational temperature really quickly. That was specified as 2–3 minutes of driving. I typically don’t rev the engine past 3,500 RPMs until I’ve been driving for five minutes to be on the safe side.

The meaning of the term “cold weather group”
Snow tires and heated seats aren’t the only features you need in a winter car for Canada. What you need is a car that can handle any form of winter weather and is reliable enough to start even on the coldest of mornings. The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk has arrived.
The Cold Weather Group, which includes heated seats, a heated steering wheel, de-icing windshield wipers, and remote start, is a set of comfort options that may be added to the Cherokee.
The Jeep Active Drive II 4WD technology advances the capabilities of 4WD. When your Jeep is in snow mode, the selected terrain system will distribute power to the wheels 60% front and 40% rear. Due to the weight of the engine pulling the front wheels down, the extra 20% at the front improves grip. In order to prevent spinning, the system will also start your Cherokee from a stop in second gear.
Finally, the Trailhawk offers two strong yet little engine options. Shorter stopping distances result from less weight, which is just as crucial as forward traction.
