The Creta and Venue, two of Hyundai India’s best-selling SUVs, have several of their variations retired. The dealers have been informed.
Among the top SUV brands in the nation is Hyundai India. Their top-selling products, Creta and Venue, collectively sell roughly 20k units a month. Depending on the version, there may be a waiting period of up to 6 months due to high demand.
Nearly every automaker must modify their variation lineup during these periods of widespread part and chip shortage in order to shorten the wait time. The Venue is only available with front-wheel drive, and both a 6-speed manual transmission (available only on base SE grade) and an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) are offered. The latter is standard on the SEL and Denim, optional on the SE (FWD). Base SE and higher-level SEL are the trim levels. Due to poor sales, the manual transmission was dropped for the 2021 model year.
All Venue trim levels come standard with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assistance with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Attention Warning, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning, LED headlights, alloy wheels, a sunroof, a two-tone roof, GPS, Hyundai Blue Link technology, a 6-speaker audio system, and roof side rails are among the extras that are readily available. The Venue Denim is another lifestyle variation that is exclusively offered in Denim Blue with a White roof and a Denim and light gray leatherette interior. After 2021, the Denim trim’s name was changed to Limited trim.
The 1.5 diesel MT and 1.5 diesel MT engines have been eliminated. The S 1.0 petrol iMT, S 1.0 petrol DCT, and SX (O) 1.0 petrol MT are three petrol variants that have been retired.
In accordance with consumer demands and market trends, Hyundai has chosen to terminate 5 models of its Venue portfolio. The 1.5 diesel MT and 1.5 diesel MT engines have been eliminated. The S 1.0 petrol iMT, S 1.0 petrol DCT, and SX (O) 1.0 petrol MT are three petrol variants that have been retired.
The S (O) and SX (O) Executive are included in the list of new Venue trims. Three engine options will be available for the S (O) grade: a 2.0-liter diesel with DCT, a 1.5-liter diesel with manual transmission, and a 1.0-liter petrol with iMT and DCT. The S (O) trim will come with steel wheels. A 1.5-liter diesel MT engine will be offered with the SX (O) Executive. Other updates include enhancements to the BlueLink platform for linked vehicles.
The old alloy wheels are replaced with new steel wheels for the SX (O) Executive level. Most likely, this was done to keep the cost of the trim down.
Gaadi Waadi claims that there are three engine options available for the Hyundai Venue in India. The first is a 1.2-liter inline-4 petrol engine with naturally aspirated displacement that generates 83 PS and 114 Nm and is only offered with a 5-speed manual transmission.

A 6-speed manual transmission is the only transmission available for the second engine, a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 diesel with 100 PS and 240 Nm of torque.
A 1.0-liter inline-3 petrol turbocharged engine with 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque makes up the third option. Three different transmission choices are offered for this engine: a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT, and a 7-speed DCT. The Venue also offers a wide range of high-end amenities and tools.

Hyundai has replaced the alloy wheels on the SX trim with styled steel wheels in addition to discontinuing five versions, and a few new variants have also been added.
In the Indian market, Hyundai has withdrawn the Venue in a total of five variations. E 1.5 Diesel MT, S 1.5 Diesel MT, S 1.0L Petrol iMT, S 1.0L Petrol DCT, and SX(O) 1.0L Petrol MT are the models that were eliminated. Other than that, the manufacturer has installed new, fashionable steel wheels in place of the trim level “SXalloy “‘s wheels.
The S(O) and SX(O) Executive trim levels have been added as additional choices. Why was the Hyundai Venue a finalist but not a contender?
The Hyundai Venue was deemed a potential contender for SUV of the Year by MotorTrend. However, a few factors prevented it from being selected as a finalist for the prize. One is the attractive interior. Even while it has some great features, the car nonetheless suffers from the excessive usage of cheap plastic.
The Venue’s underpowered engine was likewise not well received by MotorTrend’s reviewers. The 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine’s poor acceleration time from 0 to 60 mph was 9.4 seconds. Even depressing the gas pedal didn’t help save it; all it did was make additional noise.

Has the Hyundai Venue been resold?
