Although BMW claims that it “provides authentic recreation of the engine note,” it still doesn’t sound totally authentic.

However, it is not the most economical option, especially with an engine that is so eager to rev. If that’s a worry, a 435d would be a better option. Despite its high price, the 440i is still a fantastic option for anyone who are tired of shrunken turbocharged four-cylinder engines.
