Next to the headlight switch is a button. The fog lamps must be on in order for them to function; once you turn off the headlights (or turn the car off), the fog lamps go out and you must press the button once more.
It appears to be the top left button. I don’t often utilize the fog lights (other than in very bad weather or thick fog), so I typically have to look. Occasionally, when randomly pressing buttons next to the headlight switch, I unintentionally turn off my HUD. Ha

How do fog lights function?

When is it appropriate to utilize rear fog lights?

Here, the issue of covering brake lights is crucial. Since rear fog lights are brighter than regular tail lights, other drivers might not be able to see when you brake.
Fog lights are obviously unnecessary in dry weather, and they serve little purpose at night either. It is unlikely that the lamp housings will provide you with any additional light to aid in seeing where you are going because they do not have the same type of reflectors as main beam headlights.
Using fog lights when it’s damp is another no-no. The reflection of fog lights off wet road surfaces doubles its brightness, while rain can make the bright red light glare through other vehicles’ windscreens. Also distracting are front fog lights, especially if they are misaligned and create brilliant reflections.
How do you drive in the fog at night?
The following driving safety advice should be kept in mind if you must drive in foggy conditions:
- Take it more slowly and give yourself more time to get there.
- Use your low-beam headlights to make your vehicle visible to people both in front of you and behind you since this also activates your taillights. If you have fog lights, use them.
- Never turn on your high beams. Glare from high beams makes it more challenging for you to see what is in front of you on the road.

When you come to a complete stop, make sure that all of your lights are off aside from your hazard flashers, engage the emergency brake, and release the brake pedal. This will prevent other vehicles from hitting you by accident.
