On my BMW x3, how can I delete the notifications?

Find the tiny odometer button in the instrument panel’s lower left corner. until the service message shows, press and hold. When the message says “Reset,” let go of the button and press and hold it once more.

What does the BMW A off button do?

The engine’s automatic start/stop at stops is managed by this button. If the light above the button is ON, the feature is ON, meaning that the engine won’t shut off on its own when you stop to conserve fuel.

Ha, be polite. When I purchased my automobile three weeks ago, I had the similar inquiry, but I was able to find the answer in the handbook or one of the extras. And I had to read it a few times before I understood it. BMW enjoys including switches that must be lit in order to turn the system off.

What purpose does the “circled A” OFF button serve? Without success, I’ve been looking for it in the instructions.

I mistook the button on the roof for the foghter pilot style button. To expose button, press it. Push button for nuclear discharge through the carbon fiber or out the moonroof.

But seriously, if you push it and have a 6MT, the engine will cut out when you let go of the clutch in neutral while holding the brake. When you are prepared to move, engage the clutch, and it restarts. In the options, you may make it default either on or off. Since US spec is typically set to be off, the light is always present. I’ve thought about setting it as the default to be on so I don’t see that stupid light, but when it cuts out, it feels strange, like I’ve destroyed the engine.

On a BMW, how do you remove messages?

Is there a way to remove a text message from your screen? I try to remove them from my phone, but they remain on the screen. I’ve attempted using Office, but I can’t get a “delete message” to appear. If it helps, I have a Motorola Atrix 4G through AT&T.

Every time your phone and bluetooth pair, the car should update or refresh the list. Old messages are gone from mine when it refreshes, and it just displays the texts that are now on my phone. The phone book is comparable in this regard. Tomorrow, I’ll check it and let you know the outcome. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S II.

I appreciate the support. such as your avatar. the Eagle F-15. none superior. I worked as a K-9 handler for the air force for eight years before moving on to McDonnell Douglas. There is nothing quite like watching a brand-new Eagle complete a takeoff with maximum performance and an Immelman at the conclusion. Drive it like you stole it, as they say.

Removing a message

Delete all correspondence:

It’s encouraging to hear from another Airman! The F-15 is a fantastic airplane. I spent 18 years working with the F-15E, and I still get excited whenever I see one zoom down the runway! Jets are easier to reason with than people, so I have a lot of respect for the Security Forces.

The specific option mentioned in the manual wasn’t anywhere to be found, either. After I deleted all of the messages from my phone, I found an option to remove all service messages. I selected that option, and after the screen asked if I wanted to delete all messages, I clicked OK, clearing out all of my messages. I’m still unsure if I simply struck lucky or the appropriate buttons…

I hope your efforts with yours are going well. The next time my phone connected to the car, I did notice that simply cleaning away the messages on my phone reduced the number of messages in iDrive.

I believe the issue might be resolved. After removing the phone from my list, I installed it again. It appears to be fixed. All is well thus far. Many thanks for your assistance.

How effective are traffic announcements?

This issue was posed to me recently in The Pirates and the Economy, and the response is best presented as a new query. How does the radio in your car know what the station’s name is?

The data signal is sent together with the radio signal, which is the short version of the answer. This uses significantly less data and functions very similarly to how teletext on television does.

There are many pieces of data that are sent with specific identifiers for each radio station. The information varies for each radio program, so the radio may be able to identify the station and even the program you are now listening to. RDS is the name of this system.

A designation is TA, which stands for traffic announcement. This indicates that a traffic announcement is now being played on the station, so you should probably stop what you’re doing and tune in. Practically speaking, this only functions if you are listening in when the station begins to transmit the TA signal. However, what if you want to hear all traffic announcements, not just those from the station you were listening to before you turned on the CD player?

Then you’ll need a different signal, one that reads TP (Traffic Program) rather than TA (Traffic Announcement). This indicates that the station frequently broadcasts TAs, making it important to pay attention to. The majority of current radios operate by scanning every radio station at once and tuning in to any with the TP signal. Then they scan only those with TP, looking for any of them to develop a TA. And if one does, they pause the CD or tape and switch to the proper radio station.

The original plan was for EON (Enhanced Alternative Network) to suggest to you other stations that broadcast traffic information. Therefore, BBC Radio 1 would advise you to listen to your local BBC station or Radio 2, 3, 4, or 5. However, the new approach of keeping an eye on every station is a decent way to handle the problem; however, this only really works if you aren’t actively listening to the radio. Given that the majority of car radios only have one tuner, they rely on EON to identify which other radio stations are broadcasting traffic news while you’re listening to the radio. However, if the radio is off (or you’re listening to a CD), you can obtain your travel news from any channel.

The station could broadcast track information or information about the show over RDS, despite the fact that most stations don’t do it (or at least most radios don’t receive it). Although the BBC is one of the few broadcasters in the UK that bother, you might discover that your radio does not show it.

A certain band was given the answers by the radio itself at one point in Simon Mayo’s quiz where participants had to guess the names of the obscure tracks he was playing, which caused a little of chaos due to the system’s ability to automatically play track information.

Why does the BMW alarm sound when I’m driving?

A malfunctioning car alarm is one of the most annoying and sometimes deadly auto issues. A malfunctioning car alarm will not only make it more difficult for you to drive securely, but it also frequently occurs at the worst conceivable times. When attempting to solve the issue of a sporadically firing automobile alarm, many drivers frequently feel bewildered. Priority one is to set the alarm as soon as feasible. What can be done about them and what are some possible causes of your alarm firing at random? Here is what we discovered after researching the issue for you.

A car alarm that starts to fire spontaneously could be caused by a number of things:

  • Key fob malfunction: If your key fob’s battery is dead, the signal may be disrupted.
  • It’s possible that the sensor on your hood latch that sets off your alarm has become dirty.
  • Oversensitive shock sensors: even the smallest bumps cause your shock sensors to activate.
  • Poor installation may be to blame, particularly if you installed the system yourself.
  • Low or broken batteries can lead to a variety of problems for your vehicle.

These are a few of the causes of your car alarm occasionally firing on its own. Continue reading below as we go into more detail about them and what might be done to solve them.

BMW’s source of traffic information?

The RTTI uses data communication through cellular networks and a SIM card embedded in the vehicle to gather information, as well as local traffic computers, sensors embedded in highways, or cameras on bridges, giving the system instant access to information about potential delays on ring roads and connection.

The BMW sat nav does it display traffic?

Watch this video to learn how to use your BMW’s iDrive 6 and Real Time Traffic Information to escape traffic jams. Through your active ConnectedDrive profile in the ConnectedDrive Store, you may always make a reservation for the service RTTI. When RTTI is reserved, the vehicle must have it activated. Go to “Navigation,” “Settings,” and choose the “Traffic information” checkbox to turn on RTTI. The map view’s toolbar includes the RTTI icon. On highways and important urban roads, the navigation system locates traffic delays and records the general traffic status.

Navigate to “Navigation,” “MAP,” and click the “RTTI” button on the left to check the traffic before or during traveling. On your central information display, you can now monitor the most recent traffic data for your route and the area around your BMW.

Why does opening the door cause my BMW to turn off?

Before I bought my X5, I had a 2014 3 series, and when I got out of the car, the engine continued to run. With the X5, this is not the case. It is a little frustrating that the car shuts off as I get out of it. Is there a solution to this problem?

I know what the auto stop/start feature accomplishes. Let’s say I pull over at seven elen and I’m carrying someone. The moment I open the door to get a drink, the engine immediately shuts off. Why did this occur?

I’ve experienced the same thing, and it’s odd because it’s inconsistent. I’ve had both instances where I left the car running while keeping my key in my pocket. … there have been instances where the engine has stopped after I’ve gotten out and moved only a few steps.

Because auto stop/start shuts off the engine to conserve gasoline, it occurs. The automobile recognizes that you are not driving (in park, door open) and shuts off the engine when you, the driver, open the door. If you are not moving, it doesn’t want to consume fuel. Turn off the start/stop.
