On my BMW x3, how can I delete the notifications?
Find the tiny odometer button in the instrument panel’s lower left corner. until the service message shows, press and hold. When the message says “Reset,” let go of the button and press and hold it once more.
What does the BMW A off button do?

But seriously, if you push it and have a 6MT, the engine will cut out when you let go of the clutch in neutral while holding the brake. When you are prepared to move, engage the clutch, and it restarts. In the options, you may make it default either on or off. Since US spec is typically set to be off, the light is always present. I’ve thought about setting it as the default to be on so I don’t see that stupid light, but when it cuts out, it feels strange, like I’ve destroyed the engine.
On a BMW, how do you remove messages?
Is there a way to remove a text message from your screen? I try to remove them from my phone, but they remain on the screen. I’ve attempted using Office, but I can’t get a “delete message” to appear. If it helps, I have a Motorola Atrix 4G through AT&T.
Every time your phone and bluetooth pair, the car should update or refresh the list. Old messages are gone from mine when it refreshes, and it just displays the texts that are now on my phone. The phone book is comparable in this regard. Tomorrow, I’ll check it and let you know the outcome. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S II.

There is nothing quite like watching a brand-new Eagle complete a takeoff with maximum performance and an Immelman at the conclusion. Drive it like you stole it, as they say.

It’s encouraging to hear from another Airman! The F-15 is a fantastic airplane. I spent 18 years working with the F-15E, and I still get excited whenever I see one zoom down the runway! Jets are easier to reason with than people, so I have a lot of respect for the Security Forces.
The specific option mentioned in the manual wasn’t anywhere to be found, either. After I deleted all of the messages from my phone, I found an option to remove all service messages. I selected that option, and after the screen asked if I wanted to delete all messages, I clicked OK, clearing out all of my messages. I’m still unsure if I simply struck lucky or the appropriate buttons…
I hope your efforts with yours are going well. The next time my phone connected to the car, I did notice that simply cleaning away the messages on my phone reduced the number of messages in iDrive.
I believe the issue might be resolved. After removing the phone from my list, I installed it again. It appears to be fixed. All is well thus far. Many thanks for your assistance.
How effective are traffic announcements?

The data signal is sent together with the radio signal, which is the short version of the answer. This uses significantly less data and functions very similarly to how teletext on television does.
There are many pieces of data that are sent with specific identifiers for each radio station. The information varies for each radio program, so the radio may be able to identify the station and even the program you are now listening to. RDS is the name of this system.
A designation is TA, which stands for traffic announcement. This indicates that a traffic announcement is now being played on the station, so you should probably stop what you’re doing and tune in. Practically speaking, this only functions if you are listening in when the station begins to transmit the TA signal. Why does opening the door cause my BMW to turn off?
Before I bought my X5, I had a 2014 3 series, and when I got out of the car, the engine continued to run. With the X5, this is not the case. It is a little frustrating that the car shuts off as I get out of it. Is there a solution to this problem?
I know what the auto stop/start feature accomplishes. Let’s say I pull over at seven elen and I’m carrying someone. The moment I open the door to get a drink, the engine immediately shuts off. Why did this occur?
I’ve experienced the same thing, and it’s odd because it’s inconsistent. I’ve had both instances where I left the car running while keeping my key in my pocket. … there have been instances where the engine has stopped after I’ve gotten out and moved only a few steps.
Because auto stop/start shuts off the engine to conserve gasoline, it occurs. The automobile recognizes that you are not driving (in park, door open) and shuts off the engine when you, the driver, open the door. If you are not moving, it doesn’t want to consume fuel. Turn off the start/stop.
