The tweeter cover, which is where the mirror is, is then carefully pulled off.

Behind the quarter-sized black cap on the side of the door, unscrew the little bolt that secures the lock cylinder. Take cautious not to let the tiny bolt fall into never land. The lock cylinder should be removed and laid aside.

Now hold the door handle, and with your free hand, slam it on the back of the vehicle. In doing so, the door handle will release. The door handle has a Phillips screw underneath it. Turn this screw loosely but do not remove.

At this point, remove the three black star-shaped screws from the door lock.
Now you can wriggle the door handle’s interior until it releases. Look at the tabs holding it to the door. Make sure the tabs are placed correctly when you want to put it back on. Wiggling it out of place will allow you to remove the entire inner door panel and lock mechanism.

The three cables can now be removed, one each from the inner door handle mechanism, the inner door lock lever, and the outer door handle yellow mechanism.
Put everything back together after installing the new lock.
Test it as you go, of course. The inner door lock lever was not correctly unlocking when I first put it back together, so I had to turn the lock wire to it 180 degrees.
