Due to the power, trying to load this bike up with heavy bags and all the gear for a two-week journey would probably be disappointing, but this bike is great for commuting inside the city and going on weekend trips to the trails.

In conclusion, the G 310 GS is a fantastic bike for developing both road and off-road talents. With adequate power and a light weight, navigating trails and traffic gives beginning riders confidence. The G 310 GS is well-equipped and offers fantastic value even when it’s brand new. Although it is too small for lengthy adventures, it is ideal for weekend treks to mountain summits.

Does the BMW G310GS merit the moniker “GS”?

Additionally, braking lengths have decreased significantly from 100-0 kmph to 60-0 kmph as compared to the BS4 model. The BS4 model has switchable ABS, so that is the only thing we find lacking.

Wider tires on the GS increase front-end weight, which in turn makes steering more difficult. The front thus feels a little slow to respond to inputs.

Due to the larger seat profile, which makes it a little challenging to get both feet flat on the ground, shorter riders may find themselves tiptoeing much of the time. Although the seat height of 835mm might appear high, it is actually one of the lowest in the segment.

The TFT display in the BS6 G 310 GS is still the same. We think the GS would have been better equipped to take on the KTM 390 Adventure if it had a more thorough color display.

For a price that is not just lower than before but also significantly less expensive than the KTM 390 Adventure, the baby GS feels more polished, is more capable off-road, and has superior equipment. All of this while maintaining BMW’s commitment to quality. So, yes, in our opinion, the BS6 G 310 GS is preferable to the 390 Adventure.
