Once you locate the brake fluid, press and hold the button once more until RESET? appears. From this point on, each button press will display a new service.
To reset, let go of the button and press and hold it once again. Then it ought to restart.
I think this applies to all services in the same way. I previously reset the brakes and oil service in this manner.

On my 2006 530I, I recently replaced the front rotors, pads, and sensor. I performed the following reset instructions successfully, but after resetting, I learned that the next pad replacement will only last for 25000 miles.
Does that make sense? I anticipated there would be more. I forget the exact figure, but the rear brakes were serviced by the dealer around five months ago, and they were reset for well over 25k. The Idrive indicates that the rear brakes will need to be changed again in 29k.
