Zip ties can frequently be used to mend them. If it doesn’t work, changing the regulator is not too difficult.
Since the door panel contains an air bag, disconnect the battery before beginning to remove it.
Start at the back and pry up the trim strip. All of the door panel’s screws should be removed. Under the button that controls the mirror, one of them is concealed. To locate the screw, pry the switch up out of the door.
You might be able to tell where the cable detached from the regulator once you can see it. It might be possible to zip tie it back into position. On my wife’s 2004 Chrysler 330, I performed that a few years ago, and it continues to function.
