since I lack #8, I’m not sure about that one, but based on the way my license plate is fastened, I assume it is simply a few bolts that go through #5.
One torx screw, numbered 5 in the figure, is inserted from behind at the base of the false undertail.
The two torx screws that are immediately above this one, #s10, are still in place because they secure the undertail cover to the “diving platform.”
Then unscrew the two difficult-to-reach nuts holding the rear light in place.
I did take a look at my bike’s “diving platform” tail, and once you take out #5, it looks terrible!
