We 2012 Accent owners appear to be experiencing a discrepancy between the 3.49 quarts of oil capacity listed in the handbook and the actual oil volume of our engines when we perform our oil changes.
So, I was wondering if the handbook for the MC accents specifies 3.49 liters AND, when 3.49 quarts are added, the oil level on the dipstick is within range.
Please take note that as our engines are different from those of the previous generations, the oil capacity may vary.
The manual for the 2012 Accent was written by Hyundai using the old capacity, however the actual capacity of our engines is less than that, in my opinion.
The issue I and others had was that the dipstick indicated that the oil level was above the full mark even after adding the recommended 3.49 quarts. There seems to be a discrepancy between the quantity we put in to stay within the dipstick and the state capacity in the instructions despite the fact that people have done this on both levels and unleveled surfaces.

How frequently should a Hyundai Accent have its oil changed?
For traditional oil, Hyundai advises changing your Hyundai Accent’s oil and filter every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Typically, synthetic oil needs to be changed every 7,500 to 10,000 miles. Remember that the best way to determine the appropriate intervals for your vehicle is to consult your owner’s handbook and your dealer.
What is the Hyundai Accent’s fuel capacity in liters?
For 2018, Hyundai completely redesigned its subcompact car with all-new looks, a new cockpit, and updated navigation and entertainment systems. The Accent, which is still available as a sedan and a five-door hatchback, is powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine that generates 132 horsepower and is mated to either a manual or automatic transmission. In comparison to the previous generation, the 2018 model is a little bit bigger, longer, and more capacious.
Is full synthetic oil recommended by Hyundai?
While conventional oil only lasts between 3,000 and 5,000 miles before it needs to be replenished, synthetic oil can last up to 10,000 miles before it needs to be changed. We absolutely recommend synthetic oil for the Hyundai Elantra because it offers drivers many more advantages than conventional oil does.
Can I replace the 5W-20 in my Hyundai with the 5W-30?
It is not advised. Despite having the same winter rating of 5, 5w30 is slightly thicker (higher viscosity) than 5w20. This means that using the high viscosity oil could damage your engine.
