I’ve learned something, okay! It turns out that in order to see the sound settings (treble, bass, volume, etc.), the radio must be turned OFF. These settings can be changed, though, after the radio has been turned off. Not very logical…
I turned on my bike with the FM set because you made me inquisitive, and I had no trouble choosing treble and bass from the menu. They may be found at the top of the Sound menu, which is accessible after choosing Audio. I’ve performed it on the spot a number of times.

Now that some of you have a good i4 with or without Harman Kardon, I’m interested in how your settings are, such as the bass, treble, and fader levels.
Since I don’t yet own a Beemer, I’m not sure what virtual buttons there are for changing the volume. When you have HK, you might have more features like equalizer sliders and other things, or you might not.
Can you post images of your setup along with perhaps a brief justification?
I’m also curious about your fader settings. Do you aim to optimize all four (4) seats, or is your system simply configured for the driver and front seats?
In my Audi with B&O, I prefer things to be configured for the front seats, so I also enjoy the sound’s weight behind my back (more sound from the back).
All – Over the past month or two, I’ve tinkered with the Harman Kardon settings. I think the default settings are very bad, but I understand that everyone has different preferences.
I don’t like the default settings because:
– The soundstage and voice have a passenger-side bias (sounds like vocals are coming from the passenger tweeter – maybe due to how each tweeter is aimed).
After experimenting with various settings, I discovered that the best way to get the rear speakers to “get in the game” and emphasize their higher end was to use Logic 7 Surround at the max (farthest right) surround option. However, setting the Surround to maximum pushed the speakers to the back, thus I had to use the fader to slightly move the entire sound forward. I shifted the balance to the left in order to center the sound stage and the vocals.
I played about with the EQ settings until I thought it sounded good and had a little more punch. I’ve included every setting below. Post settings that people have found to work well so that others can try them.
I utilize Toto’s “Rosanna.” By no means my favorite band or song, but it’s well-produced and a great track to use to make sure your entire range is exhausted.
Yup! I experimented a lot because of PBG’s EQ settings. I’m not convinced if the F15 has anything to offer going forward. Speakers, an amp, and other components will vary. Additionally, the Surround, Fader, Balance, Treble, and Bass settings weren’t covered in that thread. I decided to look a little further into this!
Steely Dan is another excellent performer to set up and test against. They make only recordings of the highest caliber (Hey Nineteen, Peg). Another excellent band to employ when trying to fine-tune a sound system, despite not being a favorite.
I appreciate the surroundings; great. Have quite similar, but a tip for iPhone CarPlay users: if you have an EQ configured in Spotify or the Music app, it works over CarPlay and outputs adjusted sound to the BMW, so you might have different results using lumpydog settings. To get the best results from the settings on an iPhone, you would need to turn off EQ.
What controls are there for my car’s bass?
- Take the distortion out.
- Open the low-pass filter and flatten the signal.
- Change the low-pass filter and subwoofer gain.
- The subsonic filter and bass enhancement can be adjusted.
- Match the receiver volume to the subwoofer level.
How are the bass and treble adjusted?
On your Chromecast or Chromecast Ultra, you can select to enable surround sound.
- A Chromecast or Chromecast Ultra should be connected to the same account as your smartphone or tablet.
- Launch the Google Home application.
- Touch and hold the tile on your device.
- Tap Settings in the top right corner.
- Tap Surround sound under “Sound options” after scrolling down.
The surround sound mode will be set to auto-detect by default. However, you can switch the setting to Stereo, AC3/EAC3, or only AC3 surround sound. Before changing this setting, make sure your TV can handle the new modes. If a particular setting is not supported by your TV, there may be no audio as a result.
How do I change the Samsung bass’s equalizer?
Many people enjoy adjusting the equalizer on their phones to get a more distinctive sound. To accomplish the same on your Samsung device, follow these steps:
- access your device Go to Settings and choose Equalizer under Sounds and vibration > Sound quality and effects.
- The five settings that you will see are Normal, Pop, Classic, Jazz, and Rock. Find out which one you like most by trying them all out.
- You can manually modify the EQ settings using the Custom mode if none of the presets are suitable for you. Your phone will take care of the rest if you just start adjusting the audio frequencies to your preferences.
To choose which EQ configuration is best for you, you can use our guide on headphone sound characteristics if you need assistance understanding how audio frequencies function.
How can I make my Samsung’s bass louder?
Once your earphones are connected to the Galaxy Wearable app, you may choose from six different equalizer presets on the app’s Home screen to listen to the same music with a distinctive and diverse sound. To switch between Normal, Bass boost, Soft, Dynamic, Clear, or Treble boost, move the slider. Simply experiment with the choices to find the sound mode that works best for you right now.
Note: When using the Buds+ app on an iPhone 7 or later running iOS 10 or higher, the Equalizer is also accessible.
When listening to music outside, it’s crucial to have the ability to hear your surroundings clearly so you can identify any potentially hazardous situations as soon as possible.
You can adjust Labs’ settings to increase the ambient sound volume to Extra high if you wish to add more volume.
5. Drag the adjustment bar to increase the loudness of the background noise.
Note:
- Ambient sound mode will immediately exit while on a call. The mode resumes its previous state following a call.
- If your earbuds or ear tips do not comfortably fit in your ears, feedback like howling may happen when the music is amplified in ambient mode. Please check to see if your earbuds, including the Galaxy Buds+ ear tips, fit comfortably in your ears and, if not, replace them with any that do.
You might occasionally only want to wear one earbud in case you need to answer a call. The Galaxy Buds+’s automatic sound switching provides flexible sound settings. The good news is that there are no settings to change when using automatic sound switching. Depending on how many earbuds are in the charging case, the Galaxy Buds+ will automatically adjust the sound output from mono to stereo. To avoid losing it and to stop battery drain, put the second earbud in the charging case while using the other.
Note: Depending on the model and software version of the device, the screenshots and menu may change.
What should the car’s bass, mid, and treble settings be?
Your stereo’s equalizer (EQ) helps maximize the sound quality of your automobile stereo system when properly adjusted.
By reducing the pronounced peaks and dips in frequency that produce harsh, unpleasant sounds, tuning the EQ enhances the audio reproduction of your stereo.
While more complex EQs may include 13 or more bands, simpler EQs simply have 3 bands to operate with.
A three-band equalizer, for instance, divides frequencies into three groups: treble, midrange, and bass. Bass, mid, and treble frequencies typically range from 60 to 120 hertz, 400 to 2,500 hertz, and 8,000 to 15,000 hertz, respectively.
More-band EQs provide a tighter separation of frequency groups (i.e. 13 instead of 3 divisions of frequency). Greater sound control is possible thanks to this.
How can I modify my BMW’s active sound?
Fortunately, BMW gave you a few options. If your car has a sound simulator, you can vary the volume of the sound by adjusting the ASD settings in the iDrive menu. You can opt to have it decreased, balanced, sporty, or applied to the driving mode, depending on your preferences.
The NBT Evo ID5 and ID6 head units’ ASD can be altered as follows:
- Enter the “Car” menu.
- Go to “Settings.”
- Decide on “General Settings.”
- To find “Engine Sound,” scroll down.
- Select your preferred driving mode from reduced, balanced, sporty, or other.
In the equalization, where is the bass?
You must comprehend the frequency spectrum in order to apply EQ effectively. For this, you could use an EQ chart, but let’s just look at an EQ plugin right now.
At this point, none of us will be able to hear 20 kilohertz in reality. You can when you’re first born, but as you age, your hearing progressively deteriorates.
Bass has a low frequency (left). If you’re on a particularly powerful sound system, you can feel 20 hertz, but you might not be able to hear it.
On a BMW, how do you reset the sound?
To manually reset, hold down the power button for around 20 seconds. My 1 series would occasionally do that. Until the seatbelt alert lit up, I would let my seatbelt hang loose. After that, I could hear.
