Use a microfiber cloth that has been wetted with water. Just water is used for cleaning.

My leather isn’t too terrible, but I would use leather cleanser and scrape it with a brush before wiping it down with a terry towel. I hardly ever apply leather conditioner to the wheel. merely the cleaner There are many excellent products, but I like the Zaino cleanser and conditioner.
Leatherique PC or an extremely diluted all-purpose cleaning. You should be good to go if you use a soft-bristled brush or a leather brush to gently scrub.

Zaino seems to work the best for me. Although I tried Leatherique and Lexol, the results were not near as good as those from Zaino.
I use a brush made of horsehair. I can never manage to completely remove the oil and turn the leather flat black. It irritates the hell out of me to be driving around with the sunlight hitting the wheel, which is matte in some places and shining in others.
Limit your use of conditioners; otherwise, you might “slide” while turning to avoid an accident. For the same reason, nothing should be put on the foot pedals!

There are leather cleansers from Swissvax, Autoglym, and Chemical Guys. Swissvax is 3 times as expensive as the first two. Which will perform the task the best?
I clean and condition my leather with Chemical Guys products. It’s fairly effective, simple to use, and the conditioner leaves a pleasant (but overpowering) leather odor in the car. I don’t use it when I’m driving. Maybe you’ve tried it before, but since then you should only use cleaning, never conditioner. Amazon may be less expensive if you purchase Chemical Guys.
