The Porsche 911 Turbo models’ optional light design kit is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Dimmable LEDs are present in the front footwells, rear seats, center console, and areas surrounding the door handles and storage areas. There are seven different illumination colors available.

What I got (whatever it is) doesn’t seem to live up to the description of the package from last weekend, which I went back and read again.
The description provided by the Porsche Configurator is as follows:
After pulling in yesterday night, I sat in my garage and made a conscious effort to look for the following:
Overhead console 1 (check)
3. door knobs (nope)
3. storing doors (nope)
4. the front footwells (are the two footwells’ lights ambient? I’m not sure. When I open the door or turn off the car, they only come on.)
5. Vanity mirrors with additional LED lighting (I have lights on for the mirrors; I would assume that what I have is stock. Are mirror lights pre-stocked?
6. More LED illumination inside the luggage bins (I have LED lighting in the luggage compartments, but would think these would come stock as well)
When I think about ambient lighting, I picture my wife’s Audi or my old Mini Cooper, both of which have permanent, dimmable rope lights nestled into door recesses to provide low ambient lighting. I don’t see any ambient lighting other than the two little white strips on the overhead console that seem to shine.
