The starting price of the 2020 Sonata is a fair $24,555, but if you want the smart park function, you’ll need to pony up for the top Limited trim level, which starts at $34,455.

The Sonata can move a maximum of 23 feet in any direction with a single button stroke. However, if you wait for it to stop before pressing the button once more, it will advance an additional 23 feet before shutting off. With just one application of Smart Park, you will have about 46 feet to work with.
To make the mechanism function, you do need to be fairly close to the Sonata. The owner’s manual recommends staying 10 to 16 feet away from the car, and I can attest that the car will stop when you step outside the halo. My attempt to recreate this scene from Austin Powers was unsuccessful since you can’t drive the car in the same way if you stand directly in front of or behind it.
