The new 2022 Infiniti Q70 will focus entirely on electrification if it comes to market. There won’t be any models with regular gasoline. Base models would instead be hybrids. Nissan is likely to use the same e-Power system that was used in the new Qashqai. The new hybrid’s wheels are propelled by an electric motor, while a gasoline engine serves as a generator. With an immediate throttle response at all speeds, that configuration offers a ride quality similar to an electric vehicle.
Of course, an all-electric version would also appear eventually. Such a powerplant, however, most likely wouldn’t be prepared for the original debut in the following year.

When did the Infiniti Q70 stop being produced?
As customers in Canada, Mexico, and the United States prefer to buy crossovers and SUVs than sedans, hatchbacks, estates, convertibles, and coupes, Nissan confirmed in 2019 that the Infiniti Q70, Q70L, Q30, and QX30 models will be discontinued after the 2019 model year owing to weak sales. Nissan’s plans to discontinue the Infiniti brand from the Australian, New Zealand, South Korean, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malaysian, Singaporean, and West European markets by the end of 2020, after already doing so from the South African market in 2017 due to losses and weak sales, are another factor in the decision. The majority of Infiniti’s lineup has been discontinued, leaving the company with just one model in their most recent sedan lineup. However, since there are probably still a lot of Infiniti sedan models on dealer showroom floors, we’ll quickly go over each one below.
- Q50 – With its sporty, stretched front end and rear roofline that is shaped like a coupe, the Q50 is an elegant-looking sedan. Its powerful V6 engine, smooth seven-speed auto transmission, and choice of rear- or all-wheel drive give it a lively and enjoyable driving experience. The big interior, soft seats, and roomy trunk make it the perfect family cruiser.
- The Q70 is a midsize luxury vehicle with outmoded exterior and interior styling and a dated feature list. It is available with two highly efficient and effective powertrains, although they both consume a lot of fuel. Additionally, the Q70 is not the most comfortable vehicle in the premium market or for the money.
- Q70L – The largest sedan offered by Infiniti, the Q70L is the midsize Q70’s extended wheelbase variant. Only the rear passengers will truly benefit from the vastly more spacious cabin that it provides over the ordinary model.

This 400-hp vehicle, which also happens to be the most gorgeous Infiniti coupe to date, has a starting price of $53,300, which adds to its thrill.

What does the L in Q70 stand for?
The “L” stands for a longer wheelbase and more legroom than the ordinary Q70, which technically would be the Q70LOL, but I digress. My children affectionately christened the 2015 Infiniti Q70L “the limo” in order to avoid being impeded by Infiniti’s alphabet soup. And for good reason; the back seat is enormous.

Which INFINITI has the greatest following?
The mid-size QX60 luxury crossover SUV is the most well-liked Infiniti model. It should come as no surprise that an SUV is the most popular model offered by Nissan’s luxury division, but it may surprise some that the second-largest SUV available, the QX60, costs $11,100 more than the more affordable QX30 made in the UK. Infiniti sold 149,280 vehicles overall in 2018, a 2.7% decrease from 153,415 units delivered in 2017. With 47,370 units shipped in 2018, an increase of nearly 7,000 units from 2017, the QX60 solidified itself as the lineup’s undisputed consumer choice from Infiniti. To put it in perspective, the Q50 compact sedan, the company’s second-best-selling vehicle, was only sold in 334,763 units in 2018, while just under 26,000 QX50s attracted new buyers in the United States.
The Q70 is a compact automobile, right?

A seven-speed automatic transmission powers both engines. Along with a long-wheelbase Q70L, vehicles with rear- and all-wheel drive are available. The Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and BMW 5 Series are competitors.
Do V8 Infinitis exist?
A few weeks ago, I returned to my college homecoming. This is not something most alumni do, but I went to a tiny school in the Midwest, and it has been precisely ten years since I graduated. I returned to school, went to some of my old haunts, hung out with some old pals, and attempted to appear more spectacular than I actually am. That’s why there are gatherings like that, right? After a brief journey from New York, I quickly noticed three things about the Infiniti Q70L: it feels pleasantly light, it is absolutely intuitive, and it is (all figuratively speaking) as swift as a frat boy darting across the football field during The Big Game.
The Q70’s top engine is a 5.6-liter V8 with a modest 416 horsepower, but it feels like 500. All-wheel drive makes it simple to throw down that power (and an equally large amount of torque). When you put the car in Sport mode, it tenses up in all the right places. The throttle feels great—almost too lively. I enjoy that. For a long, generally uninteresting car, the steering is straightforward and predictable, and it’s actually rather enjoyable to operate. Of course, passengers may disagree because the interior isn’t equipped with gripping, bolstered seats because it’s intended to be a premium travel experience.
After the final event of the weekend, James, my roommate from senior year, leapt into the backseat of the Q70L because it had five more inches of legroom than the Q70’s base model. In keeping with the fact that this car is both entertaining for the driver and incredibly cozy for the driver’s friends and family, I believe he also made a joke about Grey Poupon. This is an excellent option if you desire the comfort or utility of an extended wheelbase automobile, want to drag race neighborhood thugs during your commute, or just want to brag back at school.
