Every Q60 is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 that produces 400 horsepower in the Red Sport 400 edition and 300 horsepower in regular form. A seven-speed automatic transmission and either the basic rear-wheel drive or the optional all-wheel drive are used to transmit that power. Although we’ve only driven the 400-horsepower Red Sport 400, the included adaptive dampers and an additional steering system that Infiniti calls Direct Adaptive Steering set it apart from the basic Q60. Additionally, the Red Sport 400 includes bigger wheels with grippier tires and more powerful brakes. Although we enjoyed its accuracy when we drove one without the enhanced steering arrangement, we wished the effort was greater and the helm was more direct. At least the car’s strong brakes gave us a ton of confidence anytime we needed to reduce speed.

Overview[edit]
As models for 2017, the vehicles went on sale at the end of 2016. There were two early models: 2.0t and 3.0t (304/405PS).
American-made versions went on sale for the 2017 model year. In August 2016, the earliest variants were the 2.0t, 2.0t AWD, 3.0t (304PS), and 3.0t AWD (304PS), with the Red Sport 400 and Red Sport 400 AWD following later in September 2016. In December 2016, the 3.0t Sport and 3.0t Sport AWD went on sale. Models for the 2017 model year were scheduled to go on sale in Europe in October 2016. Early variants were the 2.0t and 3.0t (405PS).
A lower and wider body, second generation Direct Adaptive Steering, Drive Mode Selector with custom settings profile, hydraulic electronic rack and pinion power steering system standard (2.0t), Dynamic Digital Suspension, retuned seven-speed automatic transmission, Active Grille Shutter in V6 engine models, and for the first time, all-new turbocharged engines were just a few of the significant improvements made to the 2017 Q60. For the second generation, the Q60 Convertible wasn’t produced anymore.
The new Q60 may now have a drag coefficient of only 0.28 and no front or back lift thanks to the makeover. This enables the car to maintain stability at high speeds and in crosswinds. The brand-new Active Grille Shutters, which balance the engine’s cooling requirements while simultaneously improving aerodynamics, are to blame for this. When higher performance is needed, the grille shutters open. They remain closed when in regular use.
The 2.0L turbocharged engine from Mercedes-Benz is the only option for the Pure and Luxe trims (Not true, at least not as of 2019; the Pure and Luxe Q60 now comes with a 3.0L turbocharged engine. ), while the Sport and Red Sport get the brand-new 3.0L turbocharged Nissan VR engine. The engine is identical in the Sport and Red Sport trims, but the Red Sport model has been modified to produce 400 horsepower (298 kW). The Sport trim produces 300 horsepower. All engines are connected to a 7-speed automatic transmission, and the 3.0t has dual automatic transmission coolers as well. The second version did away with the 6-speed manual.
Q60 3.0t (304PS) coupe is the base for Q60 Red Sport 400. There are 20 inch sport aluminum-alloy wheels (staggered for RWD models), exclusive dual brushed satin finish Red Sport 400 exhaust tips, 14″ front and 13.8″ rear rotors, opposed 2 and 4 piston red calipers, sport tuned Digital Dynamic Suspension, semi aniline leather appointed sport seats, aluminum accented pedals and paddle shifters, and red “S” exterior sport badging on the trunk and front fenders.
A variety of new technology and safety measures are also available with the Q60. Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Around View(r) Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Front & Rear Parking Sensors, Rain Sensing Wipers, and Backup Collision Intervention(r) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert were all included in the ProAssist Package for MY2018. Intelligent Cruise Control with Full Speed Range, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Departure Prevention with Active Lane Control, Blind Spot Intervention, Distance Control Assist, Advanced Climate Control System with Plasmacluster and Grape Polyphenol filter, auto leveling Adaptive Front Lighting System with High Beam Assist, front seat pre-crash seatbelts, and Direct Adaptive Steering are all included in the ProActive Package.
Engine: RED SPORT 400
Increase the tempo with the Q60 RED SPORT 400. Its twin-turbo V6 engine combines 350 pound-feet of torque with 400 horsepower for quick, apparently endless acceleration. Q60 Infiniti
Every sports coupe has an engine at its core. The Q60 is available with three distinct turbocharged engine options from INFINITI. A 2.0L inline 4-cylinder engine with 208 horsepower is used in 2.0t versions. 3.0L engines with 6-cylinders and a turbocharger, producing 300 horsepower, are standard in 3.0t versions. Premium Red Sport 400 models likewise feature a 3.0L turbocharged 6-cylinder engine, but their power has been increased to 400, offering incredibly rapid acceleration at any speed. Customers will receive a 7-speed automatic transmission, which can deliver power to either the rear wheels or all four wheels depending on the engine they choose. Each trim level also comes with an all-wheel drive variant.
There are four standard trims for the INFINITI Q60: 2.0t, 2.0t Premium, 3.0t Premium, and Red Sport 400. Even the base 2.0t is well-equipped for a luxury coupe. In addition to having LED fog lights, headlights, and brake lights as standard, the base model also comes with push-button start, remote keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, a sequential welcome lighting system, leatherette seating surfaces, 8-way power adjustable front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, satellite radio, and not one, but two LCD touch screens, the top one measuring 8 inches and the bottom one measuring nearly as big at 7 inches. Additionally incorporated are voice recognition, a rearview monitoring system, and an alarm.
The Bose 13-speaker sound system with several subwoofers, multimedia playback on the LCD touch screen, an auto-dimming mirror with a built-in garage door opener, and a power sliding tinted glass sunroof are all included with the 2.0T Premium trim. Similar to 3.0T Standard vehicles, 3.0T Premium models have the larger, V6 engine.

A backup collision intervention system, a blind spot warning system, a predictive forward collision warning system, and a lane departure warning system are all available safety features.

The Red Sport 400 trim level provides a whole new level of sportiness and style for Dayton auto aficionados, even if the Q50 series is already a show-stopper on its own. So there’s no need to explore any farther if you’re looking for a vehicle that will go the additional distance.
With its superior craftsmanship and aerodynamic design, this model more than lives up to its forebears. However, you might be curious in the Q50 Red Sport 400’s top speed. Let’s investigate.
Is the engine in the Q50 and Q60 the same?
The 300-hp 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine found in the basic variants of the Q50 and Q60 means that performance outputs should be comparable, if not identical. It should be noted that the Q60 is lighter than the Q50, which may also be a factor in how the two function differently.

Who has the greatest horsepower among the INFINITIs?
Infiniti has been vying with BMW’s 3 Series for a respectable sports coupe for years. The 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine and 7-speed automatic transmission of the 2017 Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 AWD produce 400 horsepower, making it the most potent Infiniti coupe to date. To surpass the 100 horsepower per liter barrier, Infiniti’s engineers used turbocharging and gasoline direct injection. The engine’s small size and low weight enable it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, reach an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph, and achieve fuel economy ratings of 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. This 400-hp vehicle, which also happens to be the most gorgeous Infiniti coupe to date, has a starting price of $53,300, which adds to its thrill.

Do Infiniti supercars exist?
The Japanese brand’s design, the Infiniti Concept Vision Gran Turismo, had its virtual premiere late last year. Infiniti is one of the main automakers to have created a spectacular concept car for the Gran Turismo video game series. However, Infiniti unveiled a real-world model at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show last week, images of which are shown below.
The idea was created as a part of the Gran Turismo Vision challenge, which honors the 15th anniversary of the well-known video game. Kazunori Yamauchi, the designer of the game, issued a challenge, asking design teams all around the world to create the ideal vehicle for the game.
The concept automobile was the result of a design competition between Infiniti’s international design offices, with the Beijing team ultimately taking first place. The flowing movement and subtle gradation of the body, which are supposed to have been inspired by ancient Chinese calligraphy and landscape paintings, are just a couple of the Chinese inspirations Infiniti claims to have seen in the design.
The Infiniti concept is a front-mid-engine supercar with dimensions and some design cues that are comparable to those on Nissan’s own Gran Turismo-inspired prototype. However, the automaker assures us that this is more than just a wild fantasy because it is a possible future for a high-performance Infiniti.
Johan de Nysschen had stated that the automaker was considering two new range-topping vehicles, an elegant four-door coupe and a more sports-oriented model with only two doors, before leaving his position as Infiniti’s top executive. The four-door coupe was plainly alluded to by the Q80 Inspiration concept car, which was unveiled at the 2014 Paris Auto Show. The new Concept Vision Gran Turismo may also allude to the sportier form.
The idea can be downloaded right now for the PlayStation 3’s Gran Turismo 6 game. And if you want more coverage of the Shanghai Auto Show, visit our specialized site.
