Performance – Engine, Transmission, and Other
Every Q60 is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 that produces 400 horsepower in the Red Sport 400 edition and 300 horsepower in regular form. A seven-speed automatic transmission and either the basic rear-wheel drive or the optional all-wheel drive are used to transmit that power. Although we’ve only driven the 400-horsepower Red Sport 400, the included adaptive dampers and an additional steering system that Infiniti calls Direct Adaptive Steering set it apart from the basic Q60. Additionally, the Red Sport 400 includes bigger wheels with grippier tires and more powerful brakes. Although we enjoyed its accuracy when we drove one without the enhanced steering arrangement, we wished the effort was greater and the helm was more direct. At least the car’s strong brakes gave us a ton of confidence anytime we needed to reduce speed.
Review of the Infiniti Q60: Not Aging Gracefully
This high-end sports coupe is visibly becoming older and it shows in numerous ways.
Craig joins the Cars team with 15 years of automotive journalism experience. He has lived in Michigan his entire life and is equally at ease using a wrench or a welding gun as he is in front of the camera or at a computer. He’s probably out in the garage working on one of his project vehicles when he’s not hosting videos or pounding out features and reviews. He has so far finished restoring a 1936 Ford V8 sedan, and he is currently working on a 1951 Ford Crestliner, another flathead-powered antique. Because there aren’t many other reasons to purchase a 2022 Infiniti Q60, it’s a good thing it looks nice. This luxury sports coupe stands out from the swarms of pickup trucks and SUVs that make up the majority of today’s traffic with its leering headlamps, curvy body, and perky tail, but its poor handling and technology don’t match its design.
The 2022 Infiniti Q60’s potent engines enable it to produce respectable performance, but its interior room falls short.
The 2022 Q60 is a stylish premium sport coupe that costs reasonably.
Do Infiniti sports cars exist?
Simply said, absolutely. Definitely a sports car, the INFINITI Q50. The car is distinguished as such by its outstanding engine, slender design, and quick handling.
The Infiniti Q60 is quick.
The INFINITI Q60 RED SPORT’s top speed. The 3.0 liter turbocharged V-6 under the hood of the Q60 3.0t RED SPORT 400 produces 400 horsepower. Thus, RED SPORT 400 was given. The RED SPORT 400 can be propelled by this engine from 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds and across a quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds.
Is the Infiniti Q60 a reliable everyday car?
The Q60 can be exhilarating while also performing admirably as a daily driver. “Due to an improved engine, an adaptive suspension, and more potent brakes, the top Red Sport model adds a significant amount of performance. However, drivers will appreciate courteous on-road behavior regardless of trim.”
Infiniti Q60: Is it JDM?
One of the numerous tasks I receive each year during Tokyo Auto Salon week is to scour the hallways of the Makuhari Messe for vehicles that merit more than a single image and caption.
I normally try to switch things up a bit as long as there is diversity, and TAS 2020 did not disappoint. I’ll therefore start with a noteworthy example from R31 House.
Shibata-san has been bringing the heat with a number of projects over the last few years, such as his Suzuki Jimny inspired by Monster Trucks.
Despite the fact that this is the same R31 GTS-R that was on exhibit last year, as the R31 king, you can be sure that at least one example will be on display. But since it has 1,000 horsepower, I don’t mind if R31 House displays it frequently.
Shibata was well aware that he would have to do something unique if he wanted to stand out this year, but he understood it couldn’t be a Supra build.
The Infiniti Q60 initially appears to be an intriguing platform for the conversion into a pro-spec drift car, but Shibata-efforts san’s to get this project to this point are extremely impressive.
To begin with, he had to acquire a Q60 from the US because it was never offered on the Japanese domestic market. Shibata-san ultimately decided to purchase a 2017 Q60 that had a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that was adapted from a Mercedes. Obviously, it no longer has that powertrain.
When he returned home, one of the first things he did was replace the four-banger with the VR38DETT in an R35 GT-R. Shibata-san claims he is aiming for 1,000 horsepower in order to compete in the pro ranks of the Japanese D1 Grand Prix series, but it is obvious that this is still a work in progress.
As you may have already noticed, the inside is still being built. To make things easier for the Japanese driver, it has been switched from left to right hand drive.
Rocket Bunny provided the enlarged body, and 18-inch 57xtreme wheels from RAYS’ Gram Lights collection finished the exterior modifications.
Shibata-san and his crew delivered this Infiniti to the Tokyo Auto Salon once again proving that you can always rely on R31 House to produce something unique. This year, I can’t wait to witness and hear it in action.
Which Infiniti vehicle is the fastest?
Although the INFINITI lineup is full of quick cars, one sticks out from the others. The quickest INFINITI model is the Q50 Red Sport 400 from 2021.
The Red Sport 400 trim level provides a whole new level of sportiness and style for Dayton auto aficionados, even if the Q50 series is already a show-stopper on its own. So there’s no need to explore any farther if you’re looking for a vehicle that will go the additional distance.
With its superior craftsmanship and aerodynamic design, this model more than lives up to its forebears. However, you might be curious in the Q50 Red Sport 400’s top speed. Let’s investigate.
Is INFINITI a luxury brand of automobiles?
The luxury car manufacturer INFINITI hails from Japan. The luxury brand was established by Nissan Motor Co. in 1985 with the aim of enhancing the already-produced everyday vehicle Nissan was already producing with greater luxury, performance, and refinement.
Do the Q50 and Q60 share an engine?
The 300-hp 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine used in the basic variants of the Q50 and Q60 is the same engine configuration shared by both vehicles, thus performance outputs should be similar, if not identical.
Which Infiniti has a V8 engine?
Because of the horsepower, 5.6-liter V8 engine, and sport-tuned suspension of the INFINITI Q70, you fell in love with the thrill of effortless power. Now, with up to 400 horsepower and the option of two cutting-edge engines, that general philosophy of energizing, responsive performance is just as fully realized in the INFINITI.

What Infiniti model is the sportiest?
The two-door coupe Q60 in Sport 400 grade is the most sporty Infiniti. Under the hood of the Q60 Sport 400 is a 3.0 liter, twin-turbocharged V-6 engine with 400 horsepower. For an additional $2,000 over the $55,000 MSRP of the RWD variant, you may choose to have it with either RWD or all AWD. If you press hard enough on the loud pedal, the V-6’s 350 torques can cause the P275/30R20 rear tires to screech. This powerful V-6 engine is also available in the Q50 compact sedan’s top-tier Red Sport 400 (and Red Sport 400 AWD) trim level. In fact, the sedan is more affordable than the coupe, with a sticker price of $51,350 for the RWD version (and the same $2,000 premium if you want AWD).
Do Infiniti supercars exist?
The Japanese brand’s design, the Infiniti Concept Vision Gran Turismo, had its virtual premiere late last year. Infiniti is one of the main automakers to have created a spectacular concept car for the Gran Turismo video game series. However, Infiniti unveiled a real-world model at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show last week, images of which are shown below.
The idea was created as a part of the Gran Turismo Vision challenge, which honors the 15th anniversary of the well-known video game. Kazunori Yamauchi, the designer of the game, issued a challenge, asking design teams all around the world to create the ideal vehicle for the game.
The concept automobile was the result of a design competition between Infiniti’s international design offices, with the Beijing team ultimately taking first place. The flowing movement and subtle gradation of the body, which are supposed to have been inspired by ancient Chinese calligraphy and landscape paintings, are just a couple of the Chinese inspirations Infiniti claims to have seen in the design.
The Infiniti concept is a front-mid-engine supercar with dimensions and some design cues that are comparable to those on Nissan’s own Gran Turismo-inspired prototype. However, the automaker assures us that this is more than just a wild fantasy because it is a possible future for a high-performance Infiniti.
Johan de Nysschen had stated that the automaker was considering two new range-topping vehicles, an elegant four-door coupe and a more sports-oriented model with only two doors, before leaving his position as Infiniti’s top executive. The four-door coupe was plainly alluded to by the Q80 Inspiration concept car, which was unveiled at the 2014 Paris Auto Show. The new Concept Vision Gran Turismo may also allude to the sportier form.
The idea can be downloaded right now for the PlayStation 3’s Gran Turismo 6 game. And if you want more coverage of the Shanghai Auto Show, visit our specialized site.
