The new BMW i4 sedan will go on sale in South Africa starting at R1.6 million, according to the company.
According to BMW, the i4 is the company’s first entirely electric vehicle that was built with driving dynamics at the forefront. The i4 M50 performance model will be the sole model option initially offered from launch. The vehicle has a range of up to 510 kilometers per cycle and uses two electric motors, one at the front axle and the other at the rear, to generate a system output of 400kW.
In the BMW i4 M50, demanding a lot of power for longer than ten seconds activates Sport Boost, which unleashes the drive system’s maximum output as well as its maximum torque of 795 Nm. According to the organization, this enables the BMW M model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
The BMW i4 is equipped as standard with an integrated heating and cooling system for the cabin, the high-voltage battery, and the driving system, which uses an incredibly effective heat pump function.

BMW stated that the i4 will be equipped with the most recent version of its iDrive operation and display system.
A three-zone automatic temperature control system, seat and steering wheel heating, remote software upgrades, the cloud-based navigation system BMW Maps, and 5G connectivity are also included in the list of goodies.
