Does BMW Roadside Assistance cover my car?
BMW Roadside Assistance is accessible for four years following the day your new BMW was first put into service, or up to six years in the case of a Certified Pre-Owned BMW. There are no mileage restrictions or additional fees for you.

How much are the safety and convenience services offered by BMW Assist?
BMW covers the first year of the BMW Assist Safety Plan for models made in 2006 and earlier (credit card information is necessary), and four years for models made in 2007 and after, starting from the day your vehicle was initially put into service. The yearly Safety Plan charge after the BMW-paid term of service expires is $199 plus any relevant taxes. During enrolling, you can prolong service for the duration of your desired ownership or lease. In addition to applicable taxes, the annual cost of the optional Convenience Plan is $199. To enroll in the Convenience Plan, which is optional, you must be a subscriber to the Safety Plan.
How much does a subscription to BMW ConnectedDrive cost?
A variety of services, such as Travel Planning and Emergency Services, are offered by Roadside Assistance and Accident Management, which is included with your new car for 4 years and unlimited miles. All drivers registered to your car are eligible for a wide range of services and advantages through BMW and BMW I Roadside Assistance. How long does BMW Assist last?
For the first three years of ownership, Roadside Assistance is included with every new BMW, giving you peace of mind in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
Roadside Assistance is included for at least 12 months on all eligible secondhand BMW vehicles.
If you need assistance, our knowledgeable, multilingual staff is available to serve you 365 days a year, around the clock. To help you get back on the road as soon as possible, they’ll first try to assist you over the phone.
When a car is immobilized, we’ll set up assistance. “Immobilized” refers to a vehicle that has experienced an electrical or mechanical failure, a vehicle accident, a key loss, a fueling error, fire damage or destruction, theft, or vandalism.
You will have the choice to purchase a BMW Insured Roadside Assistance coverage, giving you continuing peace of mind, when the three year protection expires.
How much is a remote start for a BMW?
A factory-installed remote start option can run a BMW about $500. Pre-2018 vehicles without the feature from the factory can have it added for $599 and above with a retrofit kit from BimmerTech.
What does BMW Assist include?

I paid $150 for the L package and am also from Australia. In my X3, I also have CarPlay. After using both for some time, I would advise against spending additional money on ConnectedDrive. You do have access to features like traffic updates, online tools, updated maps, remote supervision, and—most importantly—navigational guidance in HUD. You might wish to purchase that package if you consider any of those to be important. But I’ve found that Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze are all better at routing than the built-in maps now that I commute every day during rush hour, when better navigation routing can be useful. In terms of aesthetics, voice guidance, and HUD integration, I still prefer the built-in maps the best, but the routing is simply ineffective. I have recently stopped using BMW maps totally. CarPlay’s calling interface, which fills the full screen, is its only drawback. BMW has made many good interface choices, but sadly, a connection to navigation routing is not one of them. If only the routing was on pace with other major providers, I would love to use BMW maps and would gladly pay for them.

Do I have to purchase a BMW ConnectedDrive subscription?
