I’ve seen a turbo performance bundle that includes every option but air suspension. Does having air make the ride much better, and do owners of air cars think it’s worthwhile to have it?
It doesn’t make the bump/thump reactions any better, but it does assist, especially if the car has 21 “wheels. On the usual suspension setting, some people, like myself, may experience a minor floaty sensation, especially on highways. I almost always have sports selected.
I would say you don’t need it unless you tow or need more ground clearance, and since the PP has a strong focus on a fast chassis, I would advise choosing steel springs.

In comparison to other SUVs, none of mine (current GTS on ’20s with PASM and SD on ’19s with no PASM) would be considered floaty (and even many saloons)

The car moved nicely and had a compliant ride that didn’t feel too harsh on the 21-inch wheels when I drove it today with the dampers set to regular “wheels. I haven’t driven an air car to compare, but I’m satisfied with the comfort of the ride. It’s a 17 “recently had its first service and has a car with 5500 miles. Additionally has the power kit, which is excellent and should aid in resale. Its interior is a light tan color, which is unusual and something I haven’t seen on a Macan before, but it looks great in person and gives the cabin a really airy vibe. The driving wheel sitting very slightly to the right when on the bypass was something else I observed. Can anyone clarify whether alignment is typically examined on the 120 point inspection? I brought up this and asked the salesman about wheel alignment, and he said it’s been through Porsche’s 120 point check and alignment should be good etc. I thought it was things like brakes, suspension, and tires, etc.
I’ve asked that the alignment be checked and adjusted if we decide to buy the car.

Air suspension is a worthwhile addition, yes. I currently own a 2020 GTS with air suspension after nearly five years with a 2016 S with steel suspension.
I believe PASM Steel suspension was absent from the 2016 Macan S steel suspension. By manually selecting the setting, PASM Steel enables you to adjust the suspension stiffness to a comfortable or dynamic/Race suspension level. As you drive in all modes, it also automatically adjusts the suspension. It makes a significant difference to go from standard suspension to PASM steel, however this does not adequately explain the distinction between PASM Steel (Set to Comfort) and air suspension set to Comfort or Race.
