We’re in the same situation, my friend. They claim that the blue link auto start works, but it’s only a free sample program that I won’t continue to use. It would be good to start it up and have the exhaust open, but as previously mentioned, you do need to push the clutch in order to start the engine. I only use the app to check the door locks twice.
The Veloster N does not have a BlueLink or other aftermarket remote starter. For the interlink to engage the starter, the clutch must be depressed. Since it is managed by the ECU/BCM, it cannot be inserted after the fact.

Customer feedback
Despite living in a region where it gets very cold, I was unable to get my 2016 Hyundai Veloster turbo’s blue link to function. I decided to take the risk after learning about my key premium, and I couldn’t be happier! With two presses of my lock button and my factory key fob, bang! instantly begins! There was NO cutting of cables involved in this; it was pure plug and play. The only part that was a little challenging was taking off the air conditioning control cover, but with some gentle prying, it came off and revealed my smart key module! To get started, simply unplug the plugs in the left and center, put them into the new harness, and then reconnect the other ends of the plugs back into the smart key module before plugging in the new auto start module. I spent roughly 20 minutes on the entire install. But he made sure to connect the auto start module’s 6 pin power supply last. The IT department was very accommodating and quick to respond to any queries I had! In conclusion, I’m extremely pleased with this and I hope more Veloster owners discover this auto start kit! I’ll be praising it greatly!
