  • Open the boot and remove all of your stuff before continuing.
  • The boot liner carpet readily pulls out, so remove it completely and lay it down.
  • The flat supporting hard board in the boot should be removed, not just lifted up.
  • The item circled on the left in the image above is the combox (just forward of the battery). A fuse box will be visible to the right if you are searching in the proper spot (just forward of the battery).
  • You don’t have a combox if the area to the left of the fuse box is empty.
  • If the combox in the circle is installed. Great! You can be coded.

How can I strengthen my Bluetooth?

The quality of the Bluetooth(r) connection between your device and the connected device may be impacted by the following circumstances:

  • If there is an impediment between the unit and the connected device, the connection between them will be poor. Try these things:
  • Modify the unit’s or the connected device’s position or location.
  • Remove any covers from connected devices to increase the communication range.
  • Try shifting the linked device’s location if it is currently in a bag or pocket.
  • Increase the distance between the devices to optimize signal transmission.
  • If the unit and a Wi-Fi(r) device use the same 2.4 GHz frequency band, signal interference could happen. Try the following to fix the problem:
  • Turn off the linked device’s Wi-Fi system.
  • If a Wi-Fi device is being used in close proximity to the unit, switch it off or use it at least ten meters away from the unit.
  • Use the device as far away from electromagnetic radiation-producing objects and areas as you can, such as microwave ovens, ticket booths, other Bluetooth devices, and ticket gates.

If you’re using noise-canceling headphones, remember to disable the function.

  • Speed may be sluggish if your router is shared by several devices. If the signal strength hasn’t increased, turn off the other devices or disconnect your Wi-Fi from the router.
  • If too many programs are open on the linked device at once, Bluetooth transmission will suffer. Close unused programs to prevent the Bluetooth transmission from slowing down.
  • If the song being played has a high bit rate, the sound can skip. Check the audio file’s format and the connected device’s specs.
  • Set the sound quality mode to Priority on stable connection mode for the MDR-1000X, WH-1000XM2, WF-1000X, WF-SP700N, WI-1000X, MDR-10RBT, MDR-1RBT, MDR-AS700BT, MDR-EX31BN, MDR-XB950BT, or MDR-ZX770BN.
  • Disconnect your headset.
  • Pressing the POWER button while keeping the VOL- button depressed for longer than two seconds will turn the device on if it is currently in Standard mode (the default setting).
  • If the sound quality mode on the headset is currently set to Priority.
  • Holding down the VOL- button enables the headset.
  • Disconnect the headset.
  • To turn it back on, press the POWER button while continuing to hold down the VOL- button for more than two seconds.

Note: When the sound quality mode changes to Priority on steady connection mode, the battery charge light flashes red first, followed by blue.

  • Set the bit rate to the maximum that the unit can handle for all other models.
  • This feature is not present in all units. Check your device’s handbook for specific instructions on how to set the bit rate.

After completing the aforementioned steps and the sound is still skipping, reset the device to its factory settings. Check your device’s handbook for instructions unique to your model.

What does BMW CIC stand for?

With the F01/F02 7 Series, it made its debut in September 2008. The Becker-produced CIC, or Car Information Computer, runs on the QNX operating system. It is an optional feature for the following automobiles:

A significant improvement to iDrive is the CIC system, which swaps out the controller, computer, and display. To address one of the frequent iDrive issues, the display is more responsive and has a greater quality than CCC. There is also support for internet access.

TeleAtlas maps, which are stored on an inbuilt 2.5″ 80 GB hard drive, are used by CIC-based systems (HDD). Additionally, this HDD has an 8 GB capacity for playback-ready music files. A USB connector is available in the glove box to make it easier to upload music files to the HDD.

All CIC-based iDrive systems support DVD video as of 2009 LCI manufacture. However, for automatic transmission cars, this only works when the parking brake is engaged, and for manual transmission cars, only while the car is in the “Park” position. While driving, DVD audio will still be playing.
