You won’t see any Bluetooth Audio sources under External Devices if you don’t enable Bluetooth Audio first under CONFIGURE BLUETOOTH and CONFIGURE PHONEin that order.
Prior to turning on Bluetooth Audio on the iDrive and your iPhone, those two check boxes must be selected. Otherwise, this won’t be successful.
Activation of USB
When you unlock Enhanced Bluetooth in your BMW, the USB port for playing music from your phone is also turned on, enabling digital audio. For audiophiles, streaming music over USB is a fantastic option because it has greater sound quality than Bluetooth.
The USB port still functions even though EBT isn’t there. It is possible to play music through USB with the Basic Bluetooth and S6FLA option, but only from a USB stick containing MP3 songs.

I just purchased a 2013 328 xdrive sport line with executive and luxury extras (with Nav). My iPhone or iPod has awful sound quality when connected via Aux. They charge when I connect them through USB, but Idrive does not recognize them. Finally, just the phone option works when I link them by bluetooth. Even though I should have audio Bluetooth, based on what I read and discovered online, I cannot locate it. (As you can see, I have 6NH.)
I have no problems at all when I connect Android phones using the AUX or USB ports. The sound quality is excellent, and iDrive can recognize the devices. Bluetooth audio is still unusable.
I tried to enable bluetooth audio in the Cd/multimedia option, as you can see from the images attached, but it does not even exist.

Yes, I do think “7-Series” if it reads “Executive.” I prefer the Dakota leather since it appears like it will last longer than the subpar leather used by GM. I received a Crapillac instead of what ought to be a Cadillac.

The carpet in the boot must be taken out in order to determine whether your automobile has a combox installed (please do not ask us to check via VIN, please follow the steps below).
- Open the boot and remove all of your stuff before continuing.
- The boot liner carpet readily pulls out, so remove it completely and lay it down.
- The flat supporting hard board in the boot should be removed, not just lifted up.
- The item circled on the left in the image above is the combox (just forward of the battery). A fuse box will be visible to the right if you are searching in the proper spot (just forward of the battery).
- You don’t have a combox if the area to the left of the fuse box is empty.
- If the combox in the circle is installed. Great! You can be coded.
