Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) from Porsche provide the stopping power.
The most potent V8 Porsche offers is the 4.0-liter twin-turbo model. The timing chain, torsional dampers, pistons, and connecting rods are all different. Shift timings on the eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission have been sped up. A water-cooled transfer case has been added to Porsche’s Traction Management (PTM) system, the company claims, to further boost the drivetrain’s thermal capacity under heavy loads. The standard sport exhaust, which is comprised of lightweight and exceptionally heat resistant titanium, was created especially for this car.

Faster and more concentrated than a base-model Carrera, but less wickedly swift (or pricey) than the top-spec Turbo, and far more manageable than the unrefined GT3. To put it all in perspective, consider this: The new 2022 911 GTS produces 473 horsepower, surpassing the 450 horsepower of the 1997 911 Turbo S, the most potent air-cooled 911 ever marketed for street use.
With a ride height decreased by 10 mm, exclusive Porsche Active Suspension Management tuning, and the massive steel brakes from the 911 Turbo, GTS versions have their own special suspension tune. All GTS variants have center-lock wheels with a 20-inch front and a 21-inch rear that are similar to those on the 911 Turbo S.
The GTS has less sound deadening material than other 911 variants, but a free-breathing performance exhaust system gives it considerable audible vigor. Due to the use of lightweight full-carbon-fiber bucket seats, side and rear windows, and a rear-seat deletion, an optional lightweight package can reduce the weight of the vehicle by up to 55 pounds. Along with increased aerodynamic underbody components, the lightweight package also includes the rear-wheel steering system featured on the Turbo and GT3.
The headlights and taillights are slightly smoked, the front and rear accent trim is darkened, and the engine cover grilles and badges are satin black. These features identify the GTS. The GTS stands out inside thanks to a sport steering wheel and some Race-Tex accents.
Delivery of 2022 GTS models will start in the US in early 2022. Prices for the rear-drive Carrera GTS coupe start at $136,700 and go up to $156,800 for the Targa 4 GTS.
