The Taycan, now in its third year, is Porsche’s first and only all-electric vehicle. Similar in size to the gasoline-powered Porsche Panamera, the four-seater is available in sedan and wagon body types, the latter of which is called Cross Turismo. If creating an EV that lives up to Porsche’s high performance standards was the aim with the Taycan, task completed. It’s undoubtedly among the most exciting vehicles to drive, whether it’s an electric vehicle or not. The Taycan not only has sports car-like acceleration and handling, it can also give a quiet and polished ride, and it has a beautiful and high-tech interior suiting its somewhat expensive list price. Other than its price, which can reach $200,000 when fully loaded, the Taycan’s other real drawback is its fairly meager range. The Taycan’s estimated basic model range of 200 miles is only half that of its nearest rival, the Tesla Model S. To assist solve the problem, Porsche installs a rapid charging system in every Taycan. Additionally, the Taycan is exceedingly difficult to surpass in terms of enjoyment per mile.
The Taycan is everything you would expect from an all-electric Porsche: nimble, quick, and stylish. While it might not have the same bladder-busting range as some EVs, it more than makes up for it with a superb driving experience.

Where can I find a Porsche Taycan charger?
The CCS charging standard, which consists of a combination AC and DC intake port, is used by the Porsche Taycan line of vehicles. With a combined 750 horsepower and 774 lb-ft of torque from both engines, the Taycan Turbo S has an exceptional power to weight ratio. On the front axle, power is sent through a one-speed gear, and on the rear axle, it is transmitted through a novel two-speed gear. The Taycan Turbo S accelerates more quickly, despite the fact that most of these gas-powered supercars have higher top speeds. How far can the Porsche Taycan travel?

The Porsche Taycan can drive over 300 miles on a single charge, which is comparable to the distance a sports car can cover with a full tank of gas. This is made possible by a sizable battery pack. The Taycan does require more time to recharge than a 911, but thanks to quick charging, an 80% charge is accessible in just 20 minutes.
Customers who purchase a Taycan from Porsche receive three years of free access to the Ionity charging network, and certain Porsche Centers also provide turbo charging, which allows drivers to add 60 miles of range in around 4.5 minutes.
The base Taycan features a 79.2kWh battery with a 71.0kWh useable capacity. With this, the range is between 231 and 276 miles. By selecting the 93.4kWh Performance Battery Plus, the useful capacity is increased to 83.7kWh, extending the range to 268–314 miles.
The 93.4kWh battery is standard on the more potent Turbo and provides an electric range of between 2708 and 315 miles. With a maximum rate of 225kW, charging on the 4S is a little slower than on the other versions. To reach 270kW, the same as the Turbo and Turbo S variants, choose the Performance Battery Plus.

Porsche Taycan or Tesla: which is faster?

The YouTube channel Blue Pill or Red Pill has created the finest alternative until we can truly arrange a Tesla Model S Plaid and a Porsche Taycan Turbo S. To compare the data from a dragy app that was gathered during different quarter-mile runs with the two cars, they digitally align the two vehicles.
I haven’t had the opportunity to drive a Tesla Model S Plaid yet, but I have driven a couple Porsche Taycan Turbo Ss, and the Taycan Turbo S is so insanely fast that it’s difficult for me to fully understand how fast the Model S Plaid is. In fact, I really felt a touch lightheaded after performing 4 consecutive 0 to 100 mph launches with the Taycan Turbo S.
Being able to run a quarter of a mile more than a full second faster than a Taycan Turbo S makes it difficult for me to understand how it must feel to be in a Tesla Model S Plaid. And even then, it’s not the quickest the Model S Plaid has ever completed a quarter mile. We recently shared with you a clip from the Situation Plaid YouTube channel that showed the Model S Plaid covering the quarter-mile in under 9.22 seconds. Just mind-blowing, that.

Both vehicles take off at the same moment and arrive at the 60-foot mark in exactly 1.56 seconds. But at that point, the Model S Plaid starts to distance itself from the Porsche. The Plaid accelerates to 60 mph in 2.28 seconds, which is 0.25 seconds quicker than the Taycan Turbo S.
The Plaid did not employ the 1-foot rollout necessary to reduce its 0 to 60 time (really, its 6 to 60 time) to under 2 seconds and was not on a surface prepared with VHT TrackBite, as can be seen from the fact that the 0 to 60 time was not less than 2 seconds.
Who really cares about that one measure, in my opinion, and why is Tesla worried so much about advertising the Model S Plaid as being able to run from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 2 seconds? All you need to know is that it completes the quarter mile in 9.3 seconds.
Look at the times between 60 and 130 mph. Taycan Turbo S is defeated by the Model S Plaid by more than 3 seconds. In fact, the Model S Plaid accelerates from 0 to 130 mph faster than the Taycan Turbo S does from 60 to 130 mph—a feat that takes the Taycan under 8 seconds to complete.
