My M340i will arrive at the port in California on May 15th. I have a query regarding the car’s audio components for those who have already received their vehicles (or who may otherwise be knowledgeable). FYI, I purchased the upgraded HK sound system.

When I built the car online, I didn’t even consider this, but from what I’ve read here and there, it appears the vehicle does not come equipped with a CD player as standard. I am aware that CDs are outdated technology, but I still have a ton of them. In addition, my 2016 BMW 328i’s built-in hard drive is filled with music that has been ripped from CDs.

Is there a hard drive included with the M340i? Is installing a port an option for the CD player, or can the dealer handle that? How, if at all, does it change the interior design of the automobile for everyone who may have had this done?

There is no CD drive on it. Furthermore, the car doesn’t appear to have been built with a CD player in mind, thus I highly doubt the option even exists. It does, however, have a hard drive, albeit I’m not sure of its size.

I’d like to think that the refit has a DVD player. Can anyone confirm that this device is only a CD player? A DVD player was installed in my E90.

The 2018 model year 1-series has undergone an interior overhaul consisting of new trim options, blackout dials, and the most recent i-drive infotainment system, similar to the 2-series coupe and cabriolet. The dashboard has also seen a slight modification.

The fact that the rear-drive arrangement has produced a high transmission tunnel and a rear-set cabin, both of which combine to make life a little uncomfortable for the passenger in the back of the 1 Series, is one of the main complaints about it. It’s good for short trips, but knee room is quite tight, so don’t ask somebody to take a seat in the middle of the back seat. • Activate your CD player and place your preferred CD inside.
  • Connect the aux cable’s other end to the aux port on your automobile and place one end into your portable CD player.

  • Make sure your CD player is set to “PLAY” and that the volume is as loud as possible.

How can I get my new car to play CDs?

Perhaps the easiest choice is the first one you have. You can directly plug a USB CD Player into the radio of a recent car if it has a USB port. CD players with USB ports used to be commonplace, especially as this trend started to emerge with more recent vehicles.

They are, however, a little more difficult to locate now. The current crop of car CD players are a tad expensive, but they are simple to use.

You need a USB CD player, like this one from Automotive Integrated Electronics, to apply this technique. Ensure that the USB CD player you purchase is intended solely for usage in your vehicle. Some USB CD drives, which are more prevalent and less expensive, only function with PCs. Always be sure you are purchasing the correct CD player by checking twice.

To be sure that the CD player you are buying will work with your automobile, you should also verify the “fit chart.” Only specific radios and particular models are compatible.

The amazing thing about these automotive USB CD players is that they function right away after being plugged in. Connect the CD player to the radio in your car using the USB wire that comes with it.

Once linked, you should be able to play, pause, and switch songs while listening to CDs using the radio controls on your car’s stereo.

Before the CD begins to play, most CD players will have a brief “indexing” period, often lasting between 10 and 20 seconds. When that period is over, the CD ought to play normally.

I’m done now! Now you can listen to your CDs in your newer car. These CD players can be mounted wherever in your automobile that is available. Most of them incorporate suspension mechanisms so that the CD won’t skip as you go over uneven terrain.
