The Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer’s products are in greater demand than ever: in 2019, Porsche delivered 280,800 vehicles to its customers, a 10% increase over the year before.
Particularly the Cayenne and Macan model series experienced tremendous growth: the Cayenne was delivered 92,055 times globally, up 29% year over year. Since 2019, the current model has been offered as a plug-in hybrid in all markets. A further, even sportier derivative, the Cayenne Coupe, was also released on the market in the spring. A total of 99,944 Macan cars were delivered to consumers, up 16% from the previous year.

Porsche Reports Record Retail Sales in the US for 2019
The importer and distributor of the Porsche 911, 718 Boxster and Cayman, Macan, Cayenne, Panamera, and Taycan model lines, Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), said today that December retail sales increased 15.8% from a year earlier to 4,733 units. The total for the entire year was 61,568; an increase of 7.6% from 2018; this represents 10 years in a row of annual growth. The milestone coincides with new highs in customer satisfaction. Porsche achieved a first-place finish in the 2019 Customer Service Index and 2019 Sales Satisfaction Index, two significant J.D. Power Studies, both in the same year.
The start of this year’s 70th anniversary of Porsche’s origins in North America, which began in 1950 with the sale of the first three vehicles by New York dealer Max Hoffman, is fittingly marked by a decade of steady expansion.
