The disadvantages of aftermarket systems are that they take more effort to install and have less consistency in accuracy than OEM systems. By accuracy, we mean that they frequently alert you to items that aren’t necessarily approaching cars in the lane behind you.

However, the Brandmotion RDBS 1500 appears to be the greatest of them all. It costs about $600, and expert installation can cost another $600.
