I recently purchased a Thrustmaster 458 Spider wheel for the Xbox One, plugged it to my Windows 10 computer, and the drivers installed without a hitch. When I went to Project Cars to set it up under controls, it wasn’t mentioned in the list of wheels, but the standard Thrustmaster 458 wheel was, and when I tried to set it up, none of the controls worked. Obviously, there is a reason why this wheel is not on the list, but if anyone knows how I might still make it function, I would be very grateful.
PCs cannot use the Spider wheel. Only the Xbox One may use it. Since there aren’t any drivers for this device for Windows, at least not official ones, I’m not sure what you mean when you say that they “loaded fine.” I’m now searching for some homegrown drivers that might make this wheel functional.
When I inserted the wheel into my computer, it did mention installing drivers and the driver name was 458 Spider, which made me hopeful that it would work, but later, when I visited the thrustmaster website, it wasn’t there, so my computer recognized it but not as a controller.
Years later, I’m still having the same issue. Forza Horizon 3 is 100% plug and play with this wheel, which only adds to the confusion.

Force feedback does function reasonably, although it obviously falls far short of a true plug-and-play configuration.
