This week, sports facilities all around England and Wales will change their names for 24 hours to recognize grassroots sport volunteers and community workers who, with help from National Lottery funding, went above and above during lockdown.

Capital Kids Cricket’s CEO, Ratan, has been in charge of all of their operations during lockdown, including leading virtual sessions with vulnerable children like refugees. Additionally, the organization organized frequent quiz nights and Zoom sessions with families to learn about any issues they might be facing and to provide assistance.
“We work all throughout London, but Ratan noted that we focus a lot on tutoring in the boroughs of Newham, Waltham Forest, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Westminster, and Camden, as well as a small amount in Hammersmith & Fulham and Ealing.
“I called our coaches as soon as we learned we were going into lockdown and advised them to make sure we continue with things.
“We encouraged our coaches to put up activities in a home environment because we oversee three or four clubs. Show the kids what they are capable of doing with batting, bowling, and fielding in their homesin living rooms, little backyards, or between-houses alleyways.
“We made the decision to include a virtual challenge and competitive element after two weeks. Simple tasks like keeping the ball in the air as long as possible with the bat and ball, counting how many times they could do it, or juggling two or three cricket balls were involved.
“After that competition was over, we began to communicate with clubs all over the world. Then, we decided to take a quick action to get in touch with those clubs and more people.
They started a global game of virtual ball passing. From the USA to Australia, South Africa to Sweden, as well as Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon, hundreds of people participated. The event culminated with a virtual celebration that 130 individuals and families from all around the world attended via zoom.
In addition to offering summer cricket camps in three locations and starting women’s and girls’ activities online, they have also been providing ongoing phone assistance to parents who are feeling isolated or struggling with mental health issues.
“We are powerless in the absence of money. Ratan stated that the National Lottery is a very kind donor.

Sport at the grassroots level is crucial in fostering the physical and mental health that is sorely lacking in these trying times.

Since they do not occupy a seat, children under the age of two do not require a ticket for admittance. Children who are older than 2 but less than 16 must purchase a junior ticket.

Who is the owner of England’s The Oval cricket stadium?
This is where it started. This is where a Test series in England generally concludes. The first Test on English soil was played here in September 1880, and England defeated Australia by five wickets with WG Grace striking a century on his debut.

The Duchy of Cornwall, who is the Prince of Wales, owns The Oval, which was created in the 1790s when an oval road was built around what was once a cabbage patch. Since 1915, his feathers have been visible on Surrey’s badge.
