How can I tell what type of typeface anything is?

The process of identifying a font from a printed sample is the same regardless of the source you use: Upload the text by scanning or taking a picture of it. The resource then attempts to locate the typeface after accurately identifying the characters themselves.

Use a clear, straight photograph of the example text for optimum results. Find a large printed example of the font and scan it, if possible. Because the character borders will be more precise, 18 point font or larger works best. Take a careful photo using your camera or smartphone if you don’t have a scanner. Keep your camera steady to prevent any horizontal or vertical text distortion. You can straighten a crooked image with an image editor if you’re working with one.

The free WhatTheFont Mobile app is the most elegant way to recognize a font in the wild. Simply open the app and take a photo of the text anywhere it is foundon paper, signs, walls, books, etc. You are prompted to crop the image to the text before identifying each character by the program. After that, a choice of potential typefaces employing the letters from your example text appears beneath the uploaded photo (which helps you determine the best match). The custom typeface known as Hyundai Sans was made over the course of a year just for Hyundai. The typeface was introduced in 2016 as a component of a thorough, worldwide brand redesign aimed at consumer markets throughout the world. The effort’s primary goal was to change the brand’s emphasis from lifestyle to product. Because of this, Hyundai Sans Typeface aesthetically conveys the brand’s mission: to improve people’s lives by reimagining the future of mobility. The Kia logo, what is it?

Kia Motors is now just known as “Kia,” and the company’s name, logo, and catchphrase have all been updated to reflect this. This modification is a component of Kia’s medium- to long-term strategy, Plan S, which emphasizes the company’s commitment to maintaining its consumers’ loyalty while establishing a dominant position in the future mobility industry.

The alteration of Kia’s mission statement, logo, and tagline may signal a shift from carmaker to true mobility company. In order to generate widespread publicity for the new logo, Kia also arranged an unveiling event beforehand. The corporation created a new logo in the night sky on June 6th using 303 drones in total, together with firecrackers, and set a world record for “the most unmanned aerial vehicle launched simultaneously with firecrackers” in the Guinness Book of Records. The new Kia logo, motto, and corporate goals are described here.

The new logo, which stands for “Symmetry,” “Rhythm,” and “Rising,” represents Kia’s resolve to pioneer change and invention based on those concepts. The first spirit of the new logo, “Balance,” alludes to Kia’s faith in client happiness and experience. In addition to continuing to develop revolutionary future mobility products and services for an exceptional customer experience, it will continue to delight current consumers as a carmaker.

The second corporate spirit, “Rhythm,” stands for Kia’s honesty and tenacity. The company’s ongoing movement and transformation to suit client needs is reflected in the monoline logo. It also expresses the company’s desire to continue motivating its clients. Last but not least, “Rising” reflects Kia’s desire to transform into a new brand with a genuine consumer perspective.

Even without the word “motors,” the new logo conveys such resolve and focus. Even though there is only one word missing, there is a determination and a plan to change the firm from being primarily focused on production to one that offers solutions for future mobility. The new motto makes clear the new approach and course.

The new slogan for Kia, “Movement That Inspires,” emphasizes how “movement” is the starting point of human progress and the motivation for ideas. People frequently relocate from their current places to new ones where they meet new people and have novel experiences.

In order to achieve this, Kia views offering customers a variety of mobility as the essence of the brand and pursues this goal through its offerings of goods and services. The company’s vision is to excite consumers’ daily lives by offering creative indoor places with useful and practical services, and it will advance through a variety of initiatives.

In addition, Kia declared that its ‘Plan S’ mid- to long-term plan would start in 2020. Plan S is a commercial expansion strategy for the sustainable mobility sector, which includes electric automobiles and other environmentally friendly vehicles as well as mobility solutions and services and specially designed vehicles (PBVs). It also has a production system that increases the usage of recycled materials and clean energy.

Kia is also working with American EV manufacturers Canoo and Arrival to produce a variety of PBV products based on the skateboard platform. Vehicle bodies can be employed in a variety of ways depending on the objective because they are simply put on the platform. The company intends to introduce items including commercial vehicles, low-floor wagons, and shared service vehicles.

In order to diversify its operations, the corporation is also looking to improve its alliances. While mobility services are provided through collaboration in Europe, Kia has developed its own vehicle management platform and launched a new rental service, Kia Mobility, in conjunction with local dealers in Italy and Russia. Kia has also invested in the Indian mobility service company Ola and Southeast Asia’s largest ride-hailing transport service and e-payment company Grab.

Changes to the firm name, logo, and tagline involve more than just aesthetic adjustments. It denotes a transformation within for a promising future. The Kia brand is all about mobility. By manufacturing the first domestic tricycles and bicycles as well as a variety of trucks, Kia has been bridging people together. By focusing on its philosophy, Kia hopes to actively respond to changes and create a better mobility environment. We anticipate the future of the new Kia because of this.

What font is used by Spotify?

Proxima Nova was once the font used on the Spotify website. This font looks similar to Gotham. The fact that Proxima Sans was actually released before Gotham is unknown to many designers.

The LL Circular is the new font that was used when redesigning the website. Four (upright) weights from the well-known typeface family created by Laurenz Brunner are used on the website.

Even with the smaller word sizes, the spacing has been tightened, and it looks great. Returning to our Spotify font choices, let’s have a look at some more.

Proxima Nova

This typeface had a thorough overhaul. There are now 48 fully functional OpenType fonts added to the initial set of fonts. This indicates that there is more helpful information for them, and designers can benefit greatly.

This typeface combines proportions and a geometric appearance in one design, thus we can classify it as hybrid.

Circular Font

The Circular font is one of the Spotify Logo font selections that designers typically think is the best option. This font is actually utilized on their website, as we just indicated. It was made in that year.

Intricacies in its design, which is based on geometric shapes, give it a lot of warmth. Its lowercase letters have a very recognizable style that makes them simple to recognize. Since it comes in four weights, you can definitely adapt it to different works.

What font is used in Genesis?

The most recent 1.9 version of the Genesis framework has a new logo, which Genesis framework users have presumably already noticed. Today, I’d want to discuss some of the concepts behind the updated Genesis visual identity as well as the general direction we’re heading StudioPress.

As we became more aware of the impending release of the major 2.0 update, the notion to rethink Genesis emerged.

Brian Gardner and I have some serious conversations about the Genesis framework’s architecture and the future of StudioPress themes.

Our initial brainstorming session focused more on the core principles of StudioPress design.

The Genesis Framework

If you’ve ever used one of our themes, you’re probably already aware of their remarkable simplicity and functionality.

However, because of the way the theme is coded, designers and developers have considerably more freedom to alter the theme’s appearance than there are crazy custom settings or options that would control it.

The Genesis framework is extremely highly optimized, quick, secure, and modular from a technological standpoint.

The objective was to create a visual space that represented comparable ideals and connected various aspects of the Genesis framework, from its front end to its back end.

Naturally, we didn’t want to simply replace the Genesis logo and let the rest of the design evolve naturally. Our intention was to establish a fresh pattern that would eventually become a defining characteristic of all of our kid themes.

Our codex of a good design

Following is a list of some fundamental attributes we’ll strive to incorporate in our designs:

  • Responsiveness As a result, we won’t use any static graphics that call for additional coding to make them responsive. The CSS code will be simpler and the customizing procedure would be easier if all elements are flexible.
  • Extra space
  • By making our designs more open, we hope to allow them to breathe. White space, in our opinion, is a well-used space.
  • Easily readable type
  • No more body font size of 12px, indeed. All of our new themes feature larger fonts and more contrast.
  • Flat style
  • adding more components Flat refers to less CSS code and greater customisation options. It will also assist us in achieving a cleaner, more contemporary image. We won’t necessarily do all of our child themes flat, though. Expect delicate gradients or very light shadows.

The Genesis logo redesign

All of these characteristics were intended to be embodied in the new Genesis logo. We want to create a basic, flat, roomy logo with attractive typography.

My initial sketches appeared as follows:

What prompted us during our conversation at Starbucks to come up with some fast design ideas:

We decided on a final version of a concept we liked:

The main font for the new Genesis framework default theme and the logo is “Lato (designed by Ukasz Dziedzic).

I’ve used it in a number of projects already and it’s one of my favorite Google Web Fonts. There are 10 styles, ranging from “Ultra-Light 100 to “Ultra-Bold 900, giving you a lot of design options. It is free and open-source.

Summing up

Consider your basic principles before beginning any “rebranding process” to determine what you want your mark to stand for. Write a brief mission statement outlining the core components of your services or goods.

That method will make it simple for you to build a brand that will endure for years.

Bonus: Genesis 2.0

I have a tiny reward for those of you who made it to the end of the article. Here is a sneak peek at the default theme design for Genesis 2.0 that we’re currently working on:

Why do various Kia logos exist?

In South Korea on January 6, a pyrotechnic display featured the debut of Kia’s new emblem.

Tokyokia has introduced a new, more contemporary brand logo to take the place of its dated oval symbol and to assist the South Korean automaker’s planned brand relaunch get off the ground.

Kia Motors Corp. has changed its motto to “Movement that Inspires” as part of the makeover. The brand-new logo and tagline were introduced on Wednesday during a pyrotechnical show that used 303 drones firing fireworks over Incheon, South Korea.

The launch of the new logo, according to a press release from Kia, “represents Kia’s intentions to achieve a leading position in the future mobility sector by redesigning practically all aspects of its business.

The revamp will be described at the Jan. 15 event, which has been branded a digital “New Kia Brand Showcase.”

Song desires Kia plans to swiftly grow into what it refers to as purpose-built vehicles, or PBVs, and ramp up mass manufacturing of electric vehicles until 2025. These are runabouts intended for emerging mobility businesses including on-the-go e-commerce, robotaxis, and ride hailing.

According to a statement released by the business on January 6, “The automotive industry is through a period of fast development, and Kia is proactive in shaping and responding to these changes. “Our new logo embodies our goal to motivate personnel to meet the challenges we confront in a sector that is evolving quickly and to inspire customers as their mobility needs change.

According to the company, the new logo’s rhythmic, uninterrupted line communicates “Kia’s commitment to bringing moments of inspiration,” connecting the appearance to the brand’s new motto.

Since 1994, Kia has used variations of its current logo, which has the word KIA ringed by an oval, with minor alterations in 2004 and 2012. In the new insignia, the capital letters K-I-A are combined with a contemporary flair in a stylised, almost runic, script. On the Imagine electric concept car that it displayed at the 2019 Geneva auto show, Kia hinted a variation of it.
