There are currently only three trim levels available for the Picanto: Air, SE, and Sport. Air from the passenger compartment will be pulled via the heating system and heated or cooled in accordance with the function set when the recirculated air position is chosen.
When the outside (fresh) air position is chosen, outside air enters the car and is heated or cooled in accordance with the function chosen.
Notice:
- Without selecting air conditioning, prolonged usage of the heater in the recirculated air setting may cause the side windows and windshield to fog, and the air within the passenger compartment may get stale.
- Additionally, the passenger compartment will experience overly dry air if the air conditioning is used for an extended period of time with the recirculated air setting selected.
By turning the fan speed control knob, the fan speed can be adjusted to the desired speed. More air is provided with a faster fan speed. The fan can be shut off by pressing the OFF button.
To activate the air conditioning system, press the A/C button (indicator light will illuminate). To turn off the air conditioning system, press the button once more.
To turn off the climate control system for the air, press the OFF button. As long as the ignition switch is turned to the ON position, you can still use the air intake buttons.
Problem:
The crankshaft of the Picanto is known to have problems.
