The Lexus CT is a premium compact hatchback hybrid electric vehicle built by Lexus, a luxury branch of Toyota. Its Japanese and Hepburn names are CT and Rekusasu CT. When equipped with a ZR-series petrol engine with a hybrid arrangement, the CT is designated as having a platform code of A10 and is recognized by the model name ZWA10. “200h” means the hybrid engine’s performance is equivalent to that of a normal 2.0-liter engine, while “CT” stands for “Creative Touring.” [14] But in other nations, Lexus distributors go by the backronym “Compact Touring”. Why did Lexus stop producing CT?
The CT has been discontinued due to simplesales, or lack thereof. According to Good Car Bad Car, Lexus only sold 8,903 CTs in 2016 and 2,486 so far this year in the United States, while just 546 and 160 CTs, respectively, found homes in Canada.
