How does it function? The Hendo engine interacts with a conducting surface by use of electromagnets that generate fluctuating magnetic fields. In essence, when these electromagnets adjust their magnetic field, the metallic surface beneath the hoverboard generates an electric current. The hoverboard electromagnets are then repelled by the magnetic field created by this electric current. Although the concept seems simple, it is challenging to implement in practice.
