At 2016, this Lexus IS 200t made its debut in dealerships. It belongs to the IS of the XE30 generation. A facelift of the 2015 Lexus IS 200t is what it is. It’s a midsize car with four doors and a front engine that seats five people. The IS 200t’s turbocharged 2 Liter 16v Inline 4 gasoline engine has 242 horsepower and can propel the vehicle from zero to sixty miles per hour (mph) in under 7.0 seconds. It has a curb weight of 3704 pounds, gets an average fuel economy of 30.6 mpg, and has a maximum range of 532 miles on a single fill-up of its 17.4 gallon fuel tank. It has an automatic transmission with eight speeds. 17 cubic feet of luggage room and a 981 lb payload limit are available. Last revised on January 10, 2019.

A sport car, is the Lexus IS 200t?
The more potent ES, which is significantly more capacious for approximately the same price but won’t drive as well, is recommended for Lexus buyers in this price range who want a proper back seat. The IS 200t stands out in the segment of small luxury sports sedans thanks to its chic interior.
ARE Lexus 200ts trustworthy?
The Lexus NX200t has a 4.0 out of 5.0 reliability rating, placing it second among 11 luxury compact SUVs. It has ordinary ownership expenses since its average annual repair cost is $690. Major faults are rare for the NX200t due to the low severity of repairs and average frequency of those issues.
Has the Lexus IS 200t been turbocharged?
Models of 2017 Lexus IS 200t A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 241 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque powers all IS 200t sedans. An eight-speed automatic transmission is the only means of transferring power to the rear wheels. (The IS 300, with a V6 engine, is available with all-wheel drive; see separate evaluation.)
In what engine does the IS 200t have?
The result:
The 2017 Lexus IS 200t placed last in our latest test of luxury sports sedans due to a weak drivetrain and difficult controls, but upgrading to the IS 350 with a V-6 engine doesn’t totally fix the issue.
Compared to the opposition:
The IS’s sharp exterior styling gives it the appearance of a luxury sports sedan, but in a class where fun-to-drive vehicles are more prevalent than ever, its driving performance falls short.
There are three variations of the IS, each having a unique drivetrain. A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 241 horsepower powers the entry-level IS 200t, while a 3.5-liter V-6 with 255 horsepower powers the IS 300, and a 306-horsepower V-6 with the IS 350. Eight-speed automatic transmissions and rear-wheel drive are standard on the IS 200t and IS 350. If you choose all-wheel drive (AWD), the eight-speed transmission will be replaced with a six-speed automatic; this is standard on the IS 300 and optional on the IS 350. Here you may compare the specifications of different vehicles.
We evaluated a front-wheel-drive IS 200t, which cost $47,523 (plus $975 in destination fees), and a rear-wheel-drive IS 350, which cost $49,579. Navigation, a Mark Levinson premium sound, and the F Sport Package were available options for both vehicles. This performance-focused package comes with a distinctive grille and front bumper, 18-inch F Sport wheels with all-season or summer tires, heated and ventilated F Sport front seats, aluminum pedals, and a F Sport suspension that, in the case of the IS 350, also features computer-controlled adaptive damping.
THE LEXUS IS200T HAS A V6?
The all-wheel-drive IS 300 uses a 3.5-liter V6 engine, whereas the IS 200t has a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The improvements are completed by tinier feature enhancements including the IS 350’s standard 18-inch wheels.
IS250 vs. IS200
In place of the IS250’s six-speed automatic transmission, the 2.0-liter will only be paired with an eight-speed unit. The IS200t will only have rear drive, as opposed to the IS250’s rear and all-wheel drive options. Be on the lookout for yet another brand-new engine to serve the AWD market.

What distinguishes the Lexus 200t from the 300?
The 200 sports the aggressive F Sport grille and aero kit, giving it a really ugly I-mean-business front end (I recently described another F Sport grille as one that might eat children on the street) and zoomier pieces all around, despite the fact that the two cars practically appear to be twins. The 300 has the more subdued standard body, yet both are stunning in my opinion. The 18-inch wheels are different as well; the 200 has F Sport rims and all-around 225/40 tires, while the 300 has its unique design and staggered 225/40 tires up front and enormous 255/35 tires in back. Beautiful are the new integrated exhaust tips.
Like many other people, I adore the size and proportions of the IS line, and both cars attract a lot of attention when driving. However, this is all relative, and in my opinion, the 300 is already fairly aggressive and looks better than the 200 with F Sport.
What is the lifespan of a Lexus nx200t?
A well-maintained Lexus NX should survive for as many years as you want it to due to the famed Lexus dependability. 100,000 miles will pass without a second thought if you follow the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule, and a used Lexus NX shouldn’t have any issues after 250,000 to 300,000 miles.
200t vs. 350 A
The IS 200t’s turbo four-cylinder engine produced 241 horsepower, which was on par with most rivals’ engine ratings. Its engine had the same 2.0 liter displacement as the other turbocharged vehicles we evaluated. The Lexus was the slowest to 60 mph with a time of 7.6 seconds, and it was the slowest through the quarter-mile with a time of 15.5 seconds at 93 mph, which our instrumented testing supported. From the driver’s seat, though, it seemed considerably weaker.
Similar to many of its rivals, the IS provides a more potent six-cylinder engine. It has a 306 horsepower rating and fits in the IS 350. Additionally, Lexus offers a 255-hp, all-wheel-drive IS 300 that uses a detuned V-6. (Click here to compare the specifications of these three automobiles.)
The IS 350’s four-cylinder engine produces 19 pounds-feet more torque and 65 more horsepower than the IS 200t’s, but the V-6’s peak horsepower and torque are reached at higher engine rpm (4,800 rpm as opposed to 1,650 through 4,400 rpm).
You can definitely tell a difference. Although the IS 350 readily keeps up with highway traffic, the V-6 doesn’t seem particularly forceful when passing due to its scant reserve power. But in the city, where the IS 200t frequently feels slow, the V-6 performs better.
The IS 350 doesn’t significantly outperform the IS 200t in terms of power, but the bigger engine still costs more in terms of fuel economy; the V-6 achieves 22 mpg in combined city/highway driving as opposed to 26 mpg for the turbo four-cylinder.
What else do you receive in exchange for the extra $3,545? The size of the standard wheels is the only other variation. While the IS 350 has 18-inch wheels, the IS 200t sports 17-inch aluminum wheels.
Overall, the four-cylinder drivetrain of the IS 200t is inferior to that of the rivals. The IS is a better car with the optional V-6, but I’m not sure if the upgrade is significant enough to be worth the additional cost. Luxury sports sedan buyers would be wise to think about one of the top-rated vehicles from our most recent Challenge as neither version has a clear favorite.
The IS200 is it RWD?
The IS200 is not the best vehicle for inexperienced drivers as maintenance costs, particularly insurance, are likely to be high. The IS200 is a quick car in terms of performance, and some lead-footed drivers might be taken aback by its rear-wheel drive configuration. However, if you have the cash to buy and maintain it, it’s a simple automobile to park and drive at safe speeds.

The Lexus IS 200t was released when?
The Lexus IS is a small executive automobile manufactured and marketed since 1999 by Lexus, a luxury division of Toyota (Japanese: IS, Hepburn: Rekusasu IS). Beginning in 1998, the IS was first offered in Japan under the Toyota Altezza (Japanese:, Hepburn: Toyota Arutettsua) nameplate. Altezza is an Italian term that means “height” or “highness.” In the Lexus lineup, the IS was released as the entry-level sport model after the ES.
In contrast to the Lexus IS 200 (GXE10), which debuted in Europe in 1999 and in North America as the IS 300 (JCE10) in 2000, the first-generation Altezza (codenamed XE10) was introduced in Japan in October 1998. The first-generation versions came in sedan and wagon body styles and were powered by straight-six engines. With the V6-powered IS 250 (GSE20) and IS 350 (GSE21) sedan models, the second-generation IS (codename XE20) was introduced to the world in 2005. Next came the high-performance V8 sedan version, the IS F, in 2007, and the coup convertible versions, the IS 250 C and IS 350 C, in 2008. The IS 350 and IS 250 with V6 engines, the IS 200t and 300 with turbochargers, the IS 300h with a hybrid powertrain, and the performance-tuned F Sport models are all part of the third-generation Lexus IS. “Intelligent Sport” is the abbreviation for the IS designation.
