If you are a Key User but some features are grayed off, one of the following situations may be true:
Thanks to convenient Audi connect features, you can lock and unlock your car with the myAudi smartphone, receive a status report about it, and even locate it in a parking lot. Vehicle Status Report *, Car Finder *, and Remote Lock/Unlock * will be a part of Audi connect CARE * by March 8, 2019, so you’ll still have access to them whether or not you decide to keep paying for Audi connect PRIME * after your trial or subscription period has ended. Your vehicle comes with Audi connect CARE, which also offers Emergency Call, Online Roadside Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Locator, and Audi Service Request.

Check for warning messages or refresh the app by pulling down from the top and choosing the “Retrieve data from vehicle now” option to get the most recent status.
With speed alerts, you can specify a maximum speed for Audi and get a notification if your car goes above that restriction. If push notifications are enabled in the device settings, this feature is accessible. Please be aware that the speed alert feature does not stop vehicles from going beyond the specified top speed.
You can designate a perimeter around the location of your Audi using geofence alerts, and you will be informed if the car enters or leaves the region. You’ll receive a notification when the vehicle enters or leaves the designated radius. If push notifications are enabled in the device settings, this feature is accessible. Please be aware that Geofence warnings do not stop vehicles from entering or leaving a specific area.
You may set a maximum speed for your Audi and a boundary with valet warnings. If the vehicle enters/exits the designated radius or goes beyond the predetermined limit, an alert will be delivered. If push notifications are enabled in the device settings, this feature is accessible. This makes the assumption that you are physically close to your car (for example, when going out to dinner) and uses the phone’s location services to pinpoint the border. Zoom out and place a pin in the vicinity of the vehicle to turn on the Valet alert to choose a new location. Please be aware that Valet notifications do not stop drivers from going over the designated top speed limit or from entering or leaving a certain area.
When the myAudi app is open and logged in while the phone is linked to the car’s Wi-Fi hotspot*, online radio is still accessible. The ability to set favorite stations within the app has been removed.
In the app, go to the Profile tab >> User management >> PIN to modify the four-digit remote services PIN that you use to remotely lock and unlock your car. You will have to enter your vehicle’s Key User credentials again if you reset your PIN.
Until you log into the MMI of the vehicle to connect your myAudi PIN, your eight-digit myAudi PIN will be shown on the Vehicle page of the app. After pairing, iOS users can still locate their PIN in the Vehicle Connections area of the app’s Profile tab. In the meanwhile, owners of the 2017 Nissan Leaf and 2017 Infiniti Q60 can access apps through their cellphones. If the location of their car is altered by more than 0.2 miles from the initial drop-off location, they will be informed.
Therefore, the vehicle’s valet mode will enable you to control the speed and other security settings of your car when the valet key isn’t in your possession, not the valet key, which limits speed.
Will the alarm be activated by a valet key?
It appears that the key used for 2010 is irrelevant. Using any key to unlock and open the door while the system is “armed” in surveillance mode will trigger the alarm. The valet key must be placed in the ignition and turned to the “on” position in order to disable the alarm.
