The 2022 Audi Q8 is the brand’s flagship SUV and represents the pinnacle of elegance and performance. It’s a 5-seater midsize SUV with a roofline that slopes downward, giving it a coupe-like appearance, and it has the power to match its athletic looks.

The Audi Q8 is larger than the Q7, right?
Size and cargo space of the 2021 Audi Q8. The dimensions of the 2021 Q7 are 199 inches long, 69 inches high, and 78 inches wide, while those of the 2021 Q8 are 197 inches long, 67 inches high, and 79 inches wide.
How big is the Audi Q8?
The Audi Q8 is a sizable, opulent SUV crossover that is almost exclusively intended for on-road use. It is designed to entice customers who might otherwise consider purchasing other’sporty’ lifestyle SUVs for sale, including the BMW X6 and Mercedes GLE Coupe. Although the Q8 is certainly intended largely at the “coupe-style” 4x4s from BMW and Mercedes, customers of the Porsche Cayenne and Range Rover Sport might also give it a look.
Is the Audi Q8 roomy?
Audi has created a classy and reliable environment inside the Q8 in typical form. The panels are carefully aligned, and the materials are of the highest quality. The base model comes standard with heated front seats and a panoramic sunroof, but it lacks upscale options like four-zone climate control and a leather dashboard with contrast stitching. The only variant with massaging front seats, better leather, and noisier dual-pane glass is the top-of-the-line model. All of that, as well as a head-up display and programmable ambient interior lighting, were included in our test car. The Q8 offers more than ample passenger room in addition to having an attractive appearance. Despite its increased height, the driving posture is still dynamic, and the back seat accommodates two adults who can comfortably stretch out. Eight carry-on bags fit behind the back seat of the two-row Q8, which has a smaller cargo volume than the three-row Q7. With the split-folding rear bench nearly flattened, the number rose to 23 (two less than in the Q7). Our test car had the optional air suspension, which lowers the back end to make it easier to pickup and unload luggage. The Q8 has a little amount of cubby storage within. We had limited storage space for tiny objects due to its short center console bin and small door pockets.
What size SUV does Audi have?
In an Audi Q7, there is room for exploration. It is the ideal family road trip vehicle thanks to its innovative design and practical performance on both city streets and rough terrain.

How does the Audi Q8 drive?
The 2022 Audi Q8 is among the best in its luxury midsize SUV class, in part due to its powerful engine performance, assured handling, comfortable ride, and premium cabin with space for five people. Two of its minor drawbacks include a high beginning price and subpar fuel economy.
Audi Q8: Is it quiet?
The Q8 is actually remarkably quiet in general. With very little wind noise at 70 mph and greater noise control than the Mercedes GLE Coupe, there isn’t much to disturb your peace. To maximize the peace, simply avoid the large wheel selections.
The eight-speed automatic transmission that all of the engines are mated to is our sole big criticism. It may be excruciatingly slow to kick down, and when you try to pass another vehicle, for instance, it lags for a few seconds before eventually giving some go. It’s irritating, and regrettably, switching to Sport mode doesn’t make much of a difference. Thankfully, the manual option, which is operated by the paddles behind the steering wheel, is more cooperative.
The Q8 handles extremely comfortably. It has very little body lean in turns, and quattro four-wheel drive guarantees that there is always enough traction. All-wheel steering is available on the Vorsprung level, and the quick steering has a comforting heft to it. In order to give you a smaller turning radius in town and more stability at high speeds, the rear wheels therefore turn a little.
Even while it exudes confidence, the Q8 doesn’t seem particularly enjoyable. The Porsche Cayenne Coup is the SUV to buy if you have the money, even though the BMW X6 is a little bit livelier to drive. The less expensive, smaller Porsche Macan is also hilarious.
The Q8 comes with adaptive air suspension as standard, and the smallest wheels available are 21 inches. Because of this, the Q8’s low-speed ride has a harder edge than an Audi Q7 with smaller diameter alloys, even on the slaggiest suspension setting. Despite this, it’s still not unpleasant in the least and is cozier than the X6 and GLE Coupe, which thud more harshly over potholes.
Which Audi has the largest trunk?
14.2 cubic feet of space are available behind the third row of the Audi Q7. 35.7 cubic feet are revealed when the third-row seats are folded down. There is a total of 69.6 cubic feet of capacity when you fold down the second row as well.
Audi Q8
Those who simply don’t need a seven-seater and are more interested in aesthetics than pure functionality are the target market for the large, luxurious Audi Q8.
Although the Q8’s design is less pronouncedly swoopy than that of the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, it is fundamentally a rival to those vehicles. Actually, you might prefer to think about how it compares to a Range Rover Sport.
Style is one thing, but how does this brand-new member of the luxury SUV class compare in terms of its plushness, value for money, and driving dynamics?

What is it?
If you try to fit as many adjectives into an official description, you’ll get a sense of how highly Audi values its Q-brand apex model. It’s not an easy vehicle to understand or operate, but Audi hasn’t cut corners, so there are a lot of things going on that need to be explained.
The A8 saloon’s smooth, hefty, and mega-mouthed design language is most blatantly imitated by this vehicle, which also looks costly, is crammed with many types of technology. The fact that it has four doors and five seats and has “coupe style” only means that the back slopes more than a Q7, even though the frameless doors are incredibly stylish and distinctive in the segment.
There are some protruding wheel arches, large arches, amazing feature lines, and quirky LED lighting. It is not monotonous. Based on a completely irrational straw poll after a few days of exposure, the odds of it being to our taste are currently split 50/50.
All Q8s come standard with quattro AWD (with a locking center differential), air suspension, and a sleek eight-speed automatic transmission. In the UK, there are two trim levels available: S-Line and Vorsprung, both of which have a ton of optional equipment. Three engines will be offered: the 50 TDI (286 horsepower, 3.0 diesel), the 45 TDI (231 horsepower), and the 55 TSI V6 (340 horsepower), which will be introduced in 2019.
With a starting price of 65,040 for the S line and 83,040 for the Vorsprungthe latter of which is essentially bingo on the ticking of the options boxesneither it’s cheap nor particularly steeply priced for the segment, but it still represents good value if you want all the bells and whistles at once. Depending on the specifications, the Mercedes GLE Coupe 350d and the BMW X6 30d fall into the same general category.
On this specific model, the electronics permeates everything, as you might anticipate from an Audi with a “8” in its emblem. Dynamic all-wheel steer, a creative material combination, and a lot of forward-thinking ideas are there (standard on Vorsprung; optional on S-Line).
All vehicles come equipped with 48-volt mild hybrid technology, which essentially consists of a small lithium-ion battery in the trunk feeding a water-cooled steroidal starter motor up front. This technology enables engine coasting off-throttle, improved and longer (and smoother) stop/start functionality, and decreased turbo lag. Considering the size of the beast, you end up with quite respectable mpg and CO2 stats (41.5mpg combined, 178g/km).
All Q8s come equipped with leather, climate control, electrical assistance, and Audi’s incredibly attractive multi-screen Virtual Cockpit. HD Matrix LED lighting is animated and intriguing. Depending on the specification, 39 driver aid systems are offered. There will be plenty of buttons for you to press.
