Handling
The diesel cars’ pedals and steering wheels may occasionally vibrate from the engine, but the A6 produces very little road and wind noise. But at least in vehicles with ordinary springs and dampers, the suspension noise is more audible than in direct competitors.
When parking or in stop-start traffic, the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that comes with the 2.0-liter diesel and 3.0-liter gasoline engines can be a little jerky. The eight-speed automatic transmission on the 3.0-liter diesel is more traditional and better at lower speeds but less smooth when you accelerate quickly (it hesitates then suddenly flares the revs with a substantial jolt). The plug-in hybrid, in comparison, typically transitions smoothly and seamlessly switches between gasoline and electric power.
Does every Audi have air suspension?

When in Dynamic mode, the wagon lowers by 0.6 inches from its usual ride height and offers 4.9 inches of ground clearance, which is 0.2 inches less than the sporty GTI hatchback from Volkswagen. To test the 2020 Audi A6 Allroad Quattro on various sorts of roads, I traveled out to the highlands. I wasn’t expecting a performance champion from our test car because it had 20-inch wheels and all-season tires, but even in the lowest drive setting, it was enjoyable to navigate the stretches of arcing pavement as long as the corners weren’t too sharp. Luxury-car light steering has a great tightening effect in Dynamic mode, which is another factor that made Dynamic my favored setting. Even when driving enthusiastically, the wheel’s input is adequate, if not exceptional, and because it is so accurate, it didn’t annoy me at all. Although not exceptional, the pedal response and brake feel are acceptable. The A6 Allroad is simple to manage, which frees up the driver’s mind to simply take in the scenery and music from the impressive speakers and standard Bang & Olufsen 3D premium sound system.
Audi A6 Allroad Quattro Test: A Prestigious Package
The 2020 Audi A6 Allroad Quattro is a joy to drive in any situation, and the Comfort and Auto settings make it downright luxurious. The wagon from Audi is a lovely vehicle to drive or ride in thanks to the outstanding suspension damping and luxurious interior. The Prestige package, a $4,500 add-on for the A6 Allroad we drove, transformed an otherwise well-equipped vehicle into a nearly sumptuous pair of wheels.
